Allara Motor Lodge

Stayed a night here on a recent trip to Bendigo. Newly renovated room, was fresh, clean and comfortable. Whilst on the main highway was very quiet and felt very safe! Room was self contained complete with fridge and microwave; certainly had anything you would possibly need. Great location, close to town and botanical gardens. Hosts were very Friendly and accommodating . Would recommend and would stay again.

This would have been a 5 star if the beds were comfortable. Apart from that. 2 bedroom apartment was awesome! TV in each room and ceiling fans. Pub 2 mins walk away that does 10/10 meals! And botanical gardens are next door as well. Would def stay again for an overnight stopover.

A family member and I stayed for 3 nights from the 8th of may to visit family. Was okay , clean , friendly staff. We ordered breakfast once only it was ordinary but that was the only downside. Apart from that 8/10 rating. We would return again as it’s suitable enough.

We spent one night in a two bedroom self-contained unit. The bed was supremely comfortable. The unit is fresh and modern with a roomy bathroom and easy-to-use kitchen. Although Allara is on a busy road, the unit was totally quiet. Heating is excellent. Large TV and wifi for use on your phone. The botanical gardens are within walking distance. Will happily stay again.

This motel is well located. It is only some 3 properties away from the excellent Botanic Gardens. and 15 minutes easy walk from Racecourse. Although on the main road, the room was exceptionally quiet. The unit was quite large and well fitted out. It was very clean. Excellent amenities - large fridge and freezer, plus microwave. Hosts Julz and Greg were very friendly and helpful. A cooked breakfast is available, if required. The heavy mesh pull-down screens work well to cut out glare from car parking area by day. They also help reduce any unwanted light coming into room from security lighting outside the units - a problem in many motels. Generous car parking space adjacent to units. Matress was of a type whereby if one person rolled over, or got in/out of bed, it would significently affect the other person. Bed was on non-braked castors so that if one sat up in bed to read or watch TV, the bed rolled away from the wall. Lighting in room was good, except for absence of a light over the table, should one need to write etc. Overall a good motel and would be very happy to come back.

What a delight to go somewhere that is immaculately clean ( I cleaned motels for years so know what to look for). We had a 2 bedroom apartment even though it was just 2 of us. 1st we noticed the cleanliness, then we spotted the full size fridge ( winner) next on our tour was the bathroom, and yup magic... walk in shower, no clambering over a dodgy bath risking a failed circus act, or feeling like you are showering in a wardrobe. ( excellent) and now the bedroom/s.. a tv in each room, perfect for me as I have severe insomnia..BUT!!!! that 1st night I slept like a baby... the bed? OMG the bed... was the most comfortable one I have slept in for years...and it wasn't just us grinning with delight.. the elderly couple who moved in next door with I think their grandchildren, I wish I had of taped them.. squeals of delight from gran " my god the linen? it's wonderful" the kids " we have a tv in our bedroom".. so no matter your age, mobility, job etc, don't go past this place...please... it is top rate... excellent job Julz and Greg, keep up the great work xx
