My daughter and I stayed here as we attended Bolesworth international at the weekend. Very convenient as only a few miles drive The things that stood out for us was : •the absolutely incredible food (honestly did not expect this level of cuisine here) the dishes were inventive , the flavours to die for and the portions were huge ! Do not lose this chef guys ! •2 members of staff stood out , Mille and a lovely foreign lady with long dark hair - 2 genuinely sweet people who could not do enough to make our stay exceptional, they are a real credit to you. •the views from the room and the room itself was spotless , very nice interior design you can tell a lot of thought gone into it, shower was so good! Negatives : front of house / reception person a little frosty/snappy. Not genuinely welcoming. Seemed a chore for them. Room very very small. Paid quite a lot for b&b so expected it a little larger Champagne by the glass was not cold as it should be or fizzy as it should be. Paid a lot for it so should be perfect. Conditioner in the rooms please. Room service menu would be lovely ! Which is why only 4 stars not 5. But on the whole a really lovely pleasant stay and we hope to book again next year !

I was surprised when my daughter booked this venue for us to meet up. It wasn't the easiest place to find, but was well worth the mistory journey. Unfortunately for us the light was fading and the weather was wet. You could however see the attraction of this place as the views are truly breathtaking. I truly look forward to going back soon during a spring or summer day or evening. The food, service and ambitious is 1st class. Worth the effort in finding it. You can't be disappointed

Eaten here many times over the years but never had Sunday lunch here. It was very disappointing, a stingy portion of tasteless beef (2 small slices) for £21.00, flavourless gravy, chewy roast potatoes (that weren’t freshly cooked) , bland chantaney carrots and very acidic, vinegary red cabbage which looked shop bought. On the positive, the Yorkshire pudding and starters were delicious and you can’t fault the beautiful view.

Absolutely fantastic, great location in the countryside, but close enough to Chester. We had very relaxing peaceful weekend. The superior room was amazing, it was more like a suite, dinner was lovely and the breakfast even better. The staff were also excellent, can’t wait to return 10/10

Having stopped here previously for a post walk drink, my wife booked a night for us as my birthday treat. We got the walkers package and a room in the adjacent barn. Tasteful and full of ambience. Excellent in every way with great food, really cosy room and super friendly staff. We will definitely be back. Packed lunches were awesome. Thanks team for making it a great stay.

Eaten here many times over the years, always a good experience. However booked a table 5 months ago for today requesting a view by the window, arrived and we were not allocated this we had a table of 6 in front of us where the two spaces by the window we requested were given to other couples booking so early on I wonder did they even read the request, had to ask for water for the table then having to ask again then asking for the bill twice was not a relaxing experience this time round. Did not pay the service charge.
