Good, comfortable hotel, helpful stall, very clean, good car park. We would certainly stay there again when we are next in the area.

Stayed overnight and was impressed with quality of food on offer for both the evening meal and breakfast. The staff were also great at customer service both at reception and in the restaurant. Had a perfect nights sleep, the mattress was really comfortable, I literally cannot fault it. Set in scenic location, I will definitely stay here again when I am next in the area.

All the ladies we encountered on reception were friendly and helpful, with one in particular offering to try and find me a firmer pillow as I was suffering with a bad back, sadly I cannot remember her name, but they were all very accommodating. I read bad reports on here before we went regarding the restaurant being closed, I can only assume it was a temporary issue as it was definitely open during our visit, we did only eat and enjoy the Premier Inn breakfast there as we were visiting family in the area and eating out elsewhere during the evenings. There were also comments about the car park being full of deep pot holes, I can confirm they have now been filled and it is considerably more appealing after our worries reading recent reviews on here. It is in a lovely peaceful location for visiting the smaller towns and villages of North Shropshire, we really enjoyed our stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.

We arrived at about 8.00 p.m. and were checked in by a friendly helpful young man. The room was quite warm so we tried to turn on the air con. It didn’t seem to be working so I went to reception and he said he would check in the back office. He came out and said he had turned it to cool and it should kick in after a few minutes. It didn’t, so back to reception. There was a sticker on the wall by the controls in the room which said the controls did not cool the air, not sure what the point of it was then? The young man asked if I would like a fan and I politely said , no thank you, I would like the air con that is advertised on the web site and I had paid for. It turns out that the rooms in the adjacent annex were newer and had ‘proper’ air con, so we were offered a room over there, which we accepted. The air con worked very well in the new room so I was very satisfied in the end, both with the room and the service outcome. Other than that……. Comfortable bed, clean room, good shower. Didnt use the restaurant as we arrived late and had arranged to eat breakfast with family elsewhere. The hotel is a bit out of the way but in a lovely settings with views. We would stay here again but ask for an annex room.

Stayed at the Premier Inn (Harmer Hill) on the 1st April 2024. We booked an accessible room which was very spacious. Plenty of storage. Tea and coffee tray in the room. You can obtain extra supplies for the tray in reception if you run out before the maid can replenish. Also if you require extra pillows just ask at reception. Bathroom very spacious and wheelchair friendly. We opted for the meal deal dinner which was fantastic value for money. All meals are served in the pub next door, The Bridgewater Arms. It is advised to book a table. Food was excellent. Free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and parking. Less than 20 minutes drive from Shrewsbury town centre. Staff in the Premier Inn and pub were all very friendly and helpful. A very enjoyable stay.

Room was clean and bed rather comfy but that was the only good thing about the hotel. Run down hotel, could do with redecorating. Very basic facilities, only tea and coffee facilities provided. Hairdryer kept cutting out. Car park had massive deep potholes. In the middle of nowhere which wouldn’t have been such an issue if the restaurant had been open. We had to drive everywhere just to get food and drink. Couldn’t get anywhere to deliver breakfast to us so had to drive to nearest McDonald’s which was a ten minute drive. Other restaurants which were ten minutes drive away or more were fully booked so we couldn’t book any meals due to the lack of warning from the hotel about the restaurant being closed. Overall very disappointed. The restaurant being closed was very inconvenient to us and we were offered a part refund or anything for the inconvenience. I paid £174 for two nights which was a rip off considering the state of the hotel and the fact we couldn’t get food or drink or have a decent meal (just had takeaways which most of them wouldn’t even deliver to the hotel). Couldn’t walk anywhere as no where within walking distance and some roads didn’t even have pavements so had to drive everywhere. Will not be staying here again.
