Check in was quick and easy and the room was wonderful. The attentional to detail really made the room. Lovely new bathroom, comfy bed and bedding. Cleanliness was outstanding. Loved the tray in the bed and they had thought of everything. We had breakfast in the morning which was outstanding food was lovely and hot, well presented and served quickly. Would definitely recommend. Only criticism is, when arrived was not clear where to check in and took a while for barman to acknowledge us.

What a lovely pub just on the edge of the Haven Weymouth Bay holiday park. We were a huge group approx 60 of us including the children and dogs. Food looked amazing and the staff were great. Football was on as well which was a bonus! The play area was good for the children. Drink selection was good!

We were recommended to eat at The Spice Ship and were not disappointed. Friendly staff, an excellent menu all at competitive prices, and really tasty food. Served perfectly timed (neither too quick or too slow). We stayed in Weymouth for 4 nights and ate there twice. Both times brilliant, and would have no hesitation recommending it.

Spice Ship - Preston/Weymouth. A bad meal & poor service considering the big price you pay. Food delivered late & poor quality. Bar staff/male very unpleasant. Go to weather spoons in Weymouth for a better edible meal & cheaper food & drink.

Stayed here for two nights. Room was clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room, along with a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was excellent (made to order). The staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Ate in the restaurant at night, again food was excellent. Location was perfect , 20 minutes walk to the beach. I would recommend to anyone.

As a person who has been in hospitality for 20 years or more it is a shame the husband and staff of this establishment let it down. We frequented on the Saturday night which we appreciate was busy due to the football. After waiting for a period of time at one bar we were told that particular bar was closed and we needed to go to a different bar to then wait a further 10 minutes to be served, only to find the original bar had been opened again on return to our table. I placed a complaint with the landlady who begged me not to cancel our Sunday roast for the next day based on our experience. This was also enhanced by a typical bar brawl with likely bunch of lads that decided to throw a few punches at each other! The next day we returned for said Sunday meal to walk in and see who became apparent to be the bar maid/ server sat at the bar. We then moved to our table and then proceeded to be served what I can only class as the worst roast of my entire life. I went discreetly to a member of staff and asked to speak to a manager who I was told was the chef and owner. The gentleman I was presented with clearly had no customer service skills as didn’t even apologise for our experience and went straight on the defensive. Carrots and broccoli are not chewy and rubbery if cooked from fresh and not frozen. You dont teach someone who had cooked in a pub kitchen how to suck eggs! When I responded with I wouldn’t be recommending his establishment to anyone, his response was to shrug his shoulders! This was all in a restaurant that perceived their roasts were amazing, they were anything but. Would never visit this place again. Shame really as the landlady clearly cares about her pub. Shame her husband and staff dont feel the same!

Poor bar service One bar staff constantly chatting about her personal life other bar staff got my drink wrong because of it !! Had food in the restaurant the 2 staff in there were nice Although staff standing on furniture shouting over the wall when changing channels on the tv Wasn’t a great look ! Would I return …. Yes because the food was actually really nice Well done chef

Didn't get chance to try the food because the bar staff are far too busy on their phones or chatting to regulars while you are waiting to be served. Then walked a few hundred yards to The Bridge pub and had fantastic meals on the two evenings we visited over the weekend!!
