The owners of this guesthouse are crafty. I booked with ***********, they took half the payment in advance online and half the payment at the guesthouse. The day after I booked it online and payed half the payment, the owner (husband) messaged me to say that there was something wrong with my card when I know there was nothing wrong with it. He then messaged me again to say that the card was fine, I reckon they were going to double charge me with the card. The day we arrived at the guesthouse, the owner (wife) said they were not expecting any guests that day, I told her I had a booking and showed her my reservation. She then went to look at the clipboard and said ‘oh yeah’ without even apologising. Talk about rude and unorganised, there’s obviously miscommunication with the husband and wife. She then charged me straight away for the second payment, like as if I was not going to pay it. Ridiculous. After I got back from my stay, *********** sent me two emails wanting me to write a review and give feedback, I wasn’t going to but decided to give feedback. I wrote the positives and negatives as I like to speak the truth. The owner (husband) of the guesthouse then wrote to me on *********** and was not happy that I spoke the truth writing about the negatives. He then took off the review that I wrote on ***********, shows you how crafty he is and also shows you that they have a lot of control on what they can do on *********** and for this is why I don’t believe the reviews on ***********.
