Weymouth Sands Guesthouse

Best trip in a long while. I booked direct with the hotel & spoke to Nicola. Nicola was so helpful. We had room 2, over looking the end of the beach which is perfect as it’s the quieter part. The room had a beautiful bay window with chairs to sit & enjoy the view of the whole sea front. Open the sash window to the sound of the gentle waves lapping on the beach was so relaxing & the fresh air was lovely. The hotel was spotlessly clean. We arrived early, Nicola kindly took our bag in for us, grabbed a car permit then went off to park. Our bag was in our room when we got back, thank you. The bed was soooooooo comfortable. To end our stay with a fantastic breakfast was a delight. I chose the vegetarian option for a change as it looked so good & was (picture to follow) lots of fresh fruits then yogurt with granola & pastry’s. There was cereals, pastry’s then a full on English breakfast. Again Nicola’s service, attention to detail & just wanting you to have the best experience is 2nd to none. Thank you Nicola, we will be back. Being right on the end of all the hotels & B&Bs was great away from bars & restaurant noise. Your one minute walk away from all the hubbub. The harbour is directly behind the hotel, so you’ve lots going on. When booking ask Nicola about a car parking permit she can supply. Might be a small fee but on a meter adds up. Nicole is full of helpful information about trips, buses, train, restaurants etc.

This was perfect for my solo holiday. With a shared bathroom this offered good value for money. I should say, I didn't see any other guests use the bathroom so there never any waiting time. The location is excellent and I had a beautiful view. Nicola is a wonderful, friendly host and made me feel enormously welcome. Thanks very much, Nicola!

Fabulous first visit, this will be our guest house now. Breakfast was first class. I had vegertarian breakfast. Husband had cooked breakfast. Our room was front row number 1. Beautiful decorated. The view was to die for. Breakfast photo later.

Nicola the proprietor and host is both engaging with guests and fully engaged in the running of this bijou and vintage style establishment. "Vintage" can be a euphemism for lower quality but here this is NOT the case. Firstly, the propety is spotlessly clean, bed comfortable, shower hot and powerful water flow. Host went to great lengths to tailor the well cooked and tasty breakfasts to our specific needs (thank you). The views front and back and the position on the Esplanade make it feel like a holiday destination. Price reflected the quality and standard offered and is one of the number of reasons for our 5 star rating.

Lovely stay My stay was very pleasant. Good welcome and communications throughout my stay and made to feel very comfortable. Will definitely come back again.

I have stayed at the traditional, Weymouth Sands Guest House many times over the last few years. The Guest House is homely, and spotlessly clean throughout. Nicola, the landlady is delightful, and welcoming. The location is superb, only a stones throw from the wonderful Weymouth beach, and adjacent to the beautiful, magical Harbour; views of both can be enjoyed from the Guesthouse. I very much look forward to my return.
