The Cavendale

Fantastic stay. We have been coming to Weymouth every year for the last 30 years and this is without doubt the best place we have stayed. Spotlessly clean. Lovely rooms great facilities and Richard and Sam are the perfect hosts. Best breakfast in the town !! I think it's a little unfair that the negative reviews are still on the site as this was for the previous owners and is nothing to do with the current set up. definitely worth a visit

This was our third stay with Sam and Richard at The Cavendale and we still can’t find a single fault with the place. It’s immaculately clean and tidy with well appointed rooms with great views. The breakfasts are great and with variation to suit all. This is just a fantastic place to stay in fact, it’s impossible to imagine better. Richard and Sam are a lovely, friendly hard-working couple who will make sure you have everything that you need for an enjoyable stay. Don’t bother looking elsewhere. Stay at The Cavendale.

Had a wonderful two night stay at the Cavendale. Richard and Sam are warm, friendly and attentive hosts. Our room had an amazing view, looking out at the harbour. The room was light, bright and had lots of little extras that made our stay so special. Great tv with Netflix and a fab tea tray. Our breakfast was delicious, a real treat. This lovely B&B is a home away from home. Thank you Richard and Sam.

Had a wonderful time here,what a fantastically professional couple running an exceptional B&B. Room was immaculate and very well appointed,the attention to detail cannot be faulted. Breakfast was a treat not to be missed, Very well presented with all the accoutrements you could wish for. Location doesn't get better,with superb views from the front and rear of the building,bay or harbour. I was so impressed I have already made plans to return next year.

I chose this hotel for it's close proximity to Weymouth Pavilion as I was working there as a member of crew for a show. It's only a 2 min flat walk away. It's also only a 12 min level walk from the train station. I arrived a few days before the show. I was greeted upon arrival by Sam and Richard and shortly afterwards met their daughter Chloe. They're some of the nicest people you could hope to meet and nothing is too much trouble. I have a milk allergy and Richard and Sam bought oat milk prior to my arrival. Unfortunately, when I arrived they had bought the wrong one but Sam was only too happy to go out and get the right one. I also got very little sleep the first night due to the pillows being too hard for me but after I mentioned this to Sam, she found me a soft pillow. They were so patient and kind with me throughout my stay as I have both Autism and Asperger's Syndrome and was very overwhelmed and a bit confused when I arrived. I felt very welcome and was well looked after. I stayed in the single room - Room 6. My room was very clean and comfortable. I didn't have an en suite but my private toilet was just down the hall from my room and I had access to a private shower room and toilet on the floor above. My favourite thing about my room was the view! WOW!! It looked out right over the beach and was THE BEST view I've ever had in any hotel I've ever stayed in! Amazing to wake up to and just as amazing at night when the shore is lit up with pretty lights! Breakfast was delicious every day and my special diet was well catered for. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough - it's such a wonderful place to stay! If I have the opportunity to go to Weymouth again, then I'll stay here. I hope I can come back very soon!
