We went to the Lugger on the 1 February, a Wednesday for lunch. It was bitterly cold in there, and whilst the owner tried to light the wood burner, it just didn't want to know. Also to add insult to injury, he kept opening the door to try and get more draught in, which didn't help. We were three pensioners, aged, 85, 78 and 77. The food was really good, but when I got home I was reading the local newsletter "Contact" and what did I see, an advertisement for the Lugger saying that a discount for the over 60's is available on Tuesday to Thursday lunchtimes. Out bill came to £82.00 but no discount was offered. We were booked in at 12.30.
