New renovated room. Water pressure and temperature of bathroom shower is not very strong / just warm, not hot. Air-conditioning is cut-off, i.e. no air-conditioning provided. Full cooked breakfast is made to order and large, coffee is very good. Breakfast room has a panoramic seaview.

Arrived for a confirmed ******* booking on 23/05/2024 to find the hotel is closed. Nice one ******* and thank you hotel for taking my money! One star is the minimum choice so I stayed with that. Premier Inn in Weymouth was nice !! That gets five stars

Arrived to the hotel at 6.55pm Saturday 6th April for an evening of food and drinks & some entertainment with friends and family to wait near on an hour and half for our starters. We were then told our mains would be 10 mins by one of the waitresses, however 20 mins later still waiting to then be told they haven't even been started. So by this point we were not happy and hungry. We asked how long for food and all we got was not long. So we finished our drinks and left.... Won't be returning again!! Shame as the place use to be a lovely restaurant. Maybe time to get Gordan Ramsey in to sort the place out...

Awful carvery, couldn't cut the meat. All joints looked like they were Tesco's cheapest cuts. Veg not sure they'd even seen a saucepan, let alone been cooked in water. Roast potatoes and yorkshires were very charred. Husband ordered a large to get more meat, I had normal. He had to ask for more meat as they tried to give him the same as I had.

We visited Diggers Steakhouse last night. Jess and her team were fantastic. I could not fault their service. The steak was the best that my husband and I have had in a very long time. If you are on Portland and you want a good steak dinner then I would highly recommend Diggers!

Tonight we got together with family to celebrate mothers day. Was very busy on arrival as expected . the table was close to the air conditioning fans and it was quite chilly we had to ask twice and my wife had to put her coat on before anything was done . Our starters took 45 mins to arrive and we ordered 3 fish Chowder that was on the set menu, only one arrived and we waited for a further 10-15 minutes for the other 2. They were tasty. The main co**** we had 2 Beef Stroganoffs , only one arrived and when we called the waitress we were told the kitchen is small and they cook them individually???. In the Stroganoff that arrived first there were 2 small pieces of beef, so took this straight back . We finally got the 2 and were tasty but still small portion of beef and no mushrooms, not worth the £19 at all . Another meal was ribs with coleslaw which was Mayonaise with cabbage no carrot or onion. Veg burger was meant to come with Hollumi but this was changed to cheddar as they had run out, not advised it would be changed until we queried it. The worst bit was when we paid and the owner asked if all was OK and i mentioned the Beef issue and he said "well I wasn't there" Said he had had 4 staff walk out and they would answer their phones when he doesn't pay them and then walked away and he called someone else to deal with. I know that were busy, and I felt sorry for the waitresses as they were doing there best to sort out the issues, but were left to deal with the kitchens mistakes. Not Impressed Would have discussed further if I felt that there was someone who cared

We had a fantastic weekend at The New Admiralty Hotel. Our spacious room had been recently refurbished with a large comfy bed, and was very well equipped, with fridge and coffee machine. It's large ensuite was spotless as were the lovely white towels. The steak dinner we had in the restaurant, was excellent, and the a**osphere was amazing with a Tribute act that was Elvis. The staff were welcoming, friendly and provided good service. The location of the hotel is brilliant, with panoramic sea views, and lovely walks down to Portland Bill. All in all a little Gem. Can highly recommend and we will return again soon.

Horrible feel to the place . Booked for a carvery . Music in the restaurant was so loud you couldn’t have a conversation . Food was Luke warm . Vegetables were raw ( all veg ) Yorkshire puddings were like rubber and meat was tough and fatty, roast chicken was on the menu , but only chicken legs !?!? . Probably the worst carvery we’ve ever had . Won’t be returning .

The food was dreadful. Brown food, stodgy and tasteless. The diningroom furniture was shabby but the views are lovely. The whole place has the feel of an old institution which I think it was. Apparently there is a new chef there since I went. It can only improve.
