This was our 3rd stay. The Owners work so hard to achieve perfection and they over succeed. All staff are brilliant. Awesome food, service, bedrooms are very comfortable with everything provided. So clean and the attention to detail is remarkable. Well done team Hotel Blankenfeld! Looking forward to our next stay.

Our home away from home. The staff is attentive, the property is sparkling clean and the food is always amazing from the lamb chops, to the salmon, to the salads, it’s all perfectly prepared and plated. The property sits in a quiet cul de sac in a neighborhood in Bublingshausen, but is a quick walk or bus ride to downtown Wetzlar.

The hotel is a credit to the owner in every respect. My wife and I were on holiday to sample various areas of Germany. All staff were most welcoming and helpful. We only had one evening meal there but it was outstanding, and we have eaten in many fine restaurants around the world. It was the first stop on our holiday and it could not have been better. Our thanks to all the staff.

Leider war der Aufenthalt diesmal nicht gut: Im Zimmer hörte man den Empfangsbereich und es war abgewohnt. Es gab nur zwei kleine Handtücher (und kein Duschtuch). Beim Frühstück hat einiges an Speisen, Getränken und Geschirr gefehlt, das aber erst auf Nachfrage wieder aufgefüllt wurde. Schade, frühere Aufenthalte waren besser.

Nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht gut. Im ersten Zimmer wurde vor meinem Einzug geraucht. Komisch, dass da nichts gegen den Gestank gemacht wurde. Man war auf jeden Fall sehr überrascht. Also zweites Zimmer bezogen. Fenster nach vorne raus, trotz Kunststoffrahmen extrem zugig und kalt. Zudem war die ganze Nacht die Außenanlage vom Licht der Bistrowerbung taghell beleuchtet. Auch die Übergardinen halfen da nichts gegen die helle Lichtflut. Insgesamt machte das Zimmer einen sehr abgewohnten Eindruck. Viele Beschädigungen an den Möbeln, Flecken an Wänden und Lampenschirmen, Lebensgefährlich wurde es im Bad. Von der Decke hing eine LED Fassung gebrochen herunter, das Kabel vom Föhn war mit Tesafilm geflickt und der Badventilator hing nur notdürftig im Rahmen. Abgesehen davon, dass der Wasserdruck sehr nachließ, wenn man versuchte das Duschwasser etwas kälter zu machen, fiel einem sofort der Schimmelbefall an der Duschkabine auf. Hauskeeping sieht anders aus, erst recht bei den Preisen. Frühstücksbüffet war ok, aber nicht sehr eindrucksvoll. Brötchen leicht wie eine Feder, sehr überschaubare Wurst- und Käseauswahl, aber sonst ging es. Ingesamt muss es nicht noch mal sein, hier zu übernachten. Das geht besser.

UPS, klang wirklich gut. Für 94,00€ inklusive Frühstück in Wetzlar 🤩 aber dann die Wirklichkeit: Ankunft 15:45 Uhr- niemand da, keiner reagiert auf Klingel. Anrufen auf Handynummer vom Eingang: kommt gleich. Kommt dann auch! Frage; warten sie schon länger? Ja, 10 Minuten! Ach so 🤷♂️ sonst Nix. Egal, braucht dann aber bis er die HRS Reservierung findet. Dann aufs Zimmer 🤢 Grundfarbe 36qm, nutzbar durch extreme dachschräge: 14qm. Rest ist wie Alkoven beim Wohnmobil 🥴 Bad ok aber Dauerventilator. 18:00 Uhr! Abendessen ‚🤩 Bier Veltins, Karte ok, auch preislich. Zum Essen Weißburgunder: warm und feinherb🤷♂️ am Theresen stand ein anderer Weißwein, der war richtig kalt!!! Darauf angesprochen: ja das wäre ein Chardonnay! Ok, was ist der unterschied? Man könne ja Eiswürfel in den Wein geben. Abbruch!!!! Chardonnay genommen, der war kalt 🥴 essen war ok. Mal sehen, was morgen wird. Gute Nacht!
