Queenswood Hotel

The hotel looks attractive and welcoming from outside. There is a small private parking area in front of it, but this was full. Ample parking on the road outside. It is a 5 minute stroll down the hill to the seafront. A pleasant check in with Andrew, a very personable host, and I was upgraded to a double room. As I walked through the bar and up the stairs to my room there were a couple of very load blokes in the bar who had obviously had a few. I hoped they wouldn't stay long! After a few hours they were gone. The room was pleasant with a TV in the bedroom area and another in a separate lounge. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided with a kettle. Bathroom was nicely fitted with nice towels and free toiletries. Everything was clean and tidy, although the windows in the separate lounge need replacing as they are rotten and some water was coming through from the rain, a towel was placed over the leak. Overnight the road outside was generally quiet, although the walls seem thin and I could hear my neighbours conversing easily. I stayed for 3 nights but only ate breakfast on one. I wish I had it more often. Quality food, nicely presented. I didn't have to eat for the rest of the day! Not cheap though at £13.50. Generally a pleasant stay, and reasonably priced room. I would stay here again if I return to Weston.

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 2 nights 19-20 December 2024. Warm and welcoming reception, lovely common room with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree , a bar and an aquarium full of fish ! Andrew was a great host , we were treated to an upgrade with a spectacular view all the way across the to the front. His local knowledge was a great bonus , and although we were familiar with the area it was thoughtfully provided. The bed was fabulously comfortable and the bathroom was well equipped with lovely toiletries and fluffy towels. This is an old but well maintained hotel. No lift but there was an immediate offer of help with bags if required. You can admire all the period features and the sympathetically paired decor. We Highly recommend a stay here, it’s only a few minutes walk to the front and there’s a lot of bars , restaurants , shopping centre and sights to see.

I had a nice 1 night stay while in the area on business. The owner was so helpful on what to do in the area & best restaurants to use. He very kindly helped me with my luggage and showed me up to room 14 which was a nice size and right at the very top of the hotel on the second floor, so I had a fabulous view over the chimney pots and out to sea. The only issue was it was really hot - I turned off the heating but was only able to open the window a little way. The window opening was also a problem in the ensuite bathroom - it didn't open at all - and as a result there was an awful lot of black mould around the window frames which wasn't very nice to look at so I pulled the blind down! There was lots of water but the shower took ages to drain. However the room had a lovely comfy bed. Parking is a bit tight but there was plenty of free parking on the roadside outside the hotel. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were all lovely. Thank you to the Queenswood.

What can I say. Just fantastic. Andrew was so helpful when we arrived helping park the car. Gave us a choice on the room we had chosen, both were fantastic. Helpful with choice of places in town to eat. The room was great, very comfy bed. Cannot fault this place at all. Definitely worth a return.

Great hotel, very friendly owner who offered loads of advice where to visit and eat in the area. The hotel was lovelyand a sea view. Room had a lobby area with desk and a large shower room. If we ever go back to this area we will definately stay here again.

Very clean, comfortable, well appointed hotel. We had a balcony room with a panoramic view of the seafront and pier. The best part of the stay was the owners Andrew and Beth who were most helpful with recommendations for eating places, days out, and spa/beauty salons. The location was excellent within 5-10 minute walk to the seafront and many shops and restaurants. Highly recommended.
