I stayed at this hotel on the 25th October, with my partner and two children (10&2), on the morning of 26th October at approximately 10.30-10.40am my daughter received an electric shock from one of the bed side light switches, there was a loud pop/bang and it immediately sent the room into darkness apart from the TV as I'd assume it was on a different circuit. My daughter Immediately jumped back in shock and her hand was burning, she had blackening to the upperside of the hand. We immediately run her hand under the cold tap and proceeded to calm her down whilst checking her over,. Shortly after (10mins approx) we went downstairs to report this to the manager Ryan, he took a picture of her hand and was shocked at the heat coming from it, he said an accident report would need to be filled, and I asked for a copy of this and he replied that he could not give a copy as they do not have the facilities for this but it would be on my booking reference number for when I called about the incident. He then laughably offered my daughter a free ice cream as he didn't know what else he could do. I advised on all the lights being out in the room and he said he would check this as we were shortly leaving. On checking out he confirmed the lights were still not working and maintenance would need to take a look and that we was to call guest relations when we got home as he didn't really know what else to do but they would sort it all. My daughter had to be checked over at the hospital following her electric shock and have and ECG as any shock can cause things not seen by the naked eye The blackening to the hand as advised from the hospital could of been the exit point from where the electric exited her body. This in all was a traumatic ordeal for anyone let alone a young two year old, When we got back home we called guest relations regarding this and so far tthey have been useless, they claim the electrics are fine in the room, but an electric shock from a blown fuse can be enough to cause this damage to a young child, the fundamentals of the electrics.may be working but something had blown in that room and sent the lights out, this was confirmed by the manager Ryan but he now seems to be lieing about all that went on. I have on several occasions requested the incident/ accident reports and I so far have not been sent them despite my requests, this is negligence if it is found you did not fill these out upon me telling you of the incident. I have requested the maintenance report and when the last PAT was carried out again you have not sent me these. I have not even received an apology for what my daughter endured despite your so called manager Ryan seeing the damage to my daughter and the aftermath in the room itself. This was in room 304 and it appears to me something is being covered up, and as advised to guest relations should this not be dealt with I will be going to trading standards, local fire department, media /social media and anyone else it takes to get
