So glad we chose the Crown Inn What a find In a quaint peaceful village, so relaxing Warm welcome on arrival which was brilliant We chose the King deluxe room with bath, absolutely stunning The room is spacious, clean and so comfortable Bathroom and bath and walk in shower is amazing We had an evening meal of a sharing pizza and double cooked chips OMG one of the best pizza and chips we have ever had. This Inn is superb 👌🏻 and definitely worth the money Even though drinks prices are very expensive which let's it down £19 for a Peroni and small prosecco The young woman who served us was brilliant. Definitely a gem

This place is great. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and airbnbs over the years but this is right up there with the best. It's in a charming little village full of delightful houses and very peaceful. My room was huge with a proper large bed and great fluffy pillows. There is a good quality TV and streaming services courtesy of s Fire Stick and there are lots of tea and coffee choices not the usual two each. There is a chaise longue at the end of the bed for more comfortable TV viewing. Everything is good quality, thoughtful and tasteful. The bathroom is equally large with a nice quality clawfoot bath and big walk-in shower with loads of squirty stuff. Breakfast is unaccompanied but everything is there (almost) including an egg boiler. Choice of coffees, teas, cereals, fresh fruit etc. etc. Again the breakfast room is all very tastefully done and all that good stuff is available from midnight if you get an itch in the middle of the night. I'm having to be extremely picky to find fault but it would be nice to have a shelf in the shower and amongst all the spreads for your toast (a fresh loaf was ready to cut) there was no marmalade! Oh dear. The pub downstairs is as a pub should be with nice quality clientele and very good food and was all quiet after 10.30. We are back in the area in a couple of weeks and will certainly return to this lovely place.

Exceptional hosting, nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant food was excellent and the continental breakfast was basic but adequate. Rooms were immaculately clean and the hotel is in a lovely location. My only gripe was that a 12.5% service charge was added to our meal and bar tab. I prefer to choose whether or not to tip, and everything was so above expectations that we would have tipped anyway so this was a bit unnecessary and marred things slightly. However despite this I am definitely planning to return again.

We stayed in Room 2 which was fab - bed was comfortable & huge, large walk in shower, roll top bath. Nathan the Manager was a fabulous host. The bar was so cosy with a great ambience & food was five star. There wasnt cooked breakfast but you could boil eggs & then there was a vast selection of everything else. The room was very good value compared to larger hotels & I would definitely recommend to friends.

Received a nice welcome and the room (1) was really nicely decorated. Unfortunately there were a few negatives. Room 1, although not directly above the bar as far as I’m aware is extremely noisy from both the locals downstairs in the bar and from a 24/7 fairly loud noise which I can only assume is the sound of fridges in the kitchen. There are no White Company toiletries in the room which are advertised on the website. There needs to be a check on the cleaning, although the room itself was very clean along with the toilet, sink and shower, there was hair sitting in the bath plug hole and there was also a used tooth pick and spot of blood on the bathroom floor which was pretty disgusting. Breakfast had a decent supply of continental items but it was pretty depressing sitting in a very dimly lit room with a security camera staring at you whilst eating it.

We arrived and have to be honest The Crown didn’t have much kerb appeal so we entered with trepidation. However Annie was friendly and welcoming showing us to our room providing all the info we needed for our stay. The room was comfortable but small especially the shower room. Basic linens, towels and toiletries provided. All adequate but nothing special. The highlight for us was the Annie and Claudio who were a credit to the team. The food was delicious, especially the pork belly. It always surprises us that staff tend to be less attentive once the mains have finished! Desserts and coffee have to be prompted. Don’t think 12.5% service charge is appropriate at this level of establishment. Nonetheless they removed it willingly but some will feel uncomfortable asking, not because service was inferior, it’s just we feel you should be allowed to leave a gratuity at your own discretion. Still think The Crown is well worth a visit.

We were booked in for an overnight stay with an evening meal and breakfast and cannot fault the charm of the property and the enthusiasm of the staff. We stayed in a deluxe room 2 which had a really comfortable Super King sized bed and massive bathroom with a large walk-in shower and separate bath (also with a shower head available). The food was delightful too as was the breakfast choice in the morning. All in all, a wonderful place to stay!

My husband and myself visited the crown last Thursday. We both had the lamb shanks which were delicious! The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful… would definitely recommend it!
