This place is great. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and airbnbs over the years but this is right up there with the best. It's in a charming little village full of delightful houses and very peaceful. My room was huge with a proper large bed and great fluffy pillows. There is a good quality TV and streaming services courtesy of s Fire Stick and there are lots of tea and coffee choices not the usual two each. There is a chaise longue at the end of the bed for more comfortable TV viewing. Everything is good quality, thoughtful and tasteful. The bathroom is equally large with a nice quality clawfoot bath and big walk-in shower with loads of squirty stuff. Breakfast is unaccompanied but everything is there (almost) including an egg boiler. Choice of coffees, teas, cereals, fresh fruit etc. etc. Again the breakfast room is all very tastefully done and all that good stuff is available from midnight if you get an itch in the middle of the night. I'm having to be extremely picky to find fault but it would be nice to have a shelf in the shower and amongst all the spreads for your toast (a fresh loaf was ready to cut) there was no marmalade! Oh dear. The pub downstairs is as a pub should be with nice quality clientele and very good food and was all quiet after 10.30. We are back in the area in a couple of weeks and will certainly return to this lovely place.
