I also have had pretty good luck with La Quinta. Until now. Checked in, dinner break from a meeting. Room ended up being at the back of the furthest build west, right next to I-25. Parking lot practically deserted, wondered why I was so far to the back of the building. Obviously a older building, pretty dirty, appeared tired. BTW, a non-fire-sprinklered building. Got into my room, I grabbed a kleenex to blow my nose.......I can find no trash can in the whole room, kinda funny, until your are piling trash on the bathroom counter. Thought maybe it was in the clothes closet, find handle is half ripped out of the door, and interesting light colored stain running down the face of the door. Looked back at the beds, and notice the foot of each, is about 2 inches higher than the head. Went back to my meeting, got back about 9:00 PM,, parking lot still deserted on my end. Exterior light on the corner by my room is doing this psycho flickering, as is on of the lot lights.Just the lack of people around, the weird lights, kinda unsettled me, was glad to get into my room. Later, in the shower/toilet room, noticed some more staining, streaking, on the inside of the door, this time darker colored. Now I wonder if they ever wipe down interior surfaces in this place. I go to turn on the double bedside light, and one side is not working. I think maybe the bulb is loose. Nope, just MISSING altogether. Bonus was right before turning in, I found the added bonus of the curtain in disrepair. High note, surprisingly, the bed was comfortable, and I slept like a rock. That is the only reason why this is not a one rating. Although the highway did create some noise, and when the wind started in the early morning, I sure knew it. I believe this is by far, the worse review I have ever posted.
