Modern rooms and great customer service. Hotel 39 is our new hotel of choice in Orange County. Walking distance to great food and an Uber away from attractions in Anaheim. The Guest Services team was very friendly and accommodating and exceeded our expectations!

This place had good reviews on Booking and Google Maps, but looks like TripAdvisor is the more accurate. It's a very mediocre place. Upon arriving, the parking lot is small, but is still large enough that there should not be any issue finding a parking spot. There are plenty at the far end of the lot. It is well lit at night. The neighboring lots are some auto repair businesses, some apartments, and empty/deserted lots. So not the greatest of views. Upon arriving at the check-in counter, I was greeted by an unfriendly, unsmiling front desk clerk. It was all business. He put his hand out without saying anything and I had my credit card and ID ready, but someone else might wonder what are you asking for. I booked directly on ChoiceHotels website, instead of through third-part, hoping they would give me a better room, but I ended up with room right next to the busy street. I booked a queen suite, because it had a microwave and refrigerator. It looks clean, but it is not the cleanest. Lots of questionable droppings at the AC unit, some holes and markings on the bedding (thought it all appears clean). Towels are of lower quality (not plush). The AC units have some issue with mildew odor when running the AC that I could not get rid of. This room had two televisions, but they were of the old style, no smart functions. Room style is definitely not modernized. It claimed to have a desk with ergonomic chair, but there was no lighting at the desk, so you'll be working in the dark after the sun sets. There was also a stinky smell from the tissue box. The wifi is free, but it is an unsecured wifi network, so would require a VPN to stay safe. Speed and stability is excellent. There is free breakfast, but that is not something I utilize these days. Night of sleep turned out to be good. The bed is basic, pillows are typical hotel. Sheets appeared clean, but bedding didn't give a feeling of cleanliness. I was able to sleep well through the night either way. Morning checkout is 11am, check-out person was different and a bit friendlier. No bill for the stay was given, however. So, in summary, mediocre, but reasonably priced place. I admit I got duped when searching on Booking, and did not realize this is a motel. None of the booking websites indicated it as such.

Very good service. Staff is knowledgeable and nice. I got a shared room so it is not my first choice. I didn't realized it was like a motel but that is my bad. The room is cleaned but there is some stain on the washroom floor.

I saw that some people did not recommend it before, so I always worried that the room was poor, but when I found out, it turned out to be very good. Breakfast, parking, sanitation, and facilities are very good. I am very surprised by the besr western series. Follow this hotel chain!

The hotel is quiet, the health is more general, the facilities are very old, the service staff is okay, anyway, you get what you pay for, if you come in a hurry, the price is OK.
