We usually stay in a Courtyard in Livonia when we travel to Michigan, but this year we were informed their pool/hot tub would be out of service during our trip over Christmas. So, after lots of searching for another Marriott property in the area (since I have a rewards membership) we found this one. I was a little sad that due to the short notice we couldn't get a suite room (we have two kids so it's nice to have the separation) but we were upgraded when we checked in. The suite was nice, although a tad cramped (doors can't be opened all the way, etc). The kitchen was decently equipped, there was a nice dining/living area, two separate (if a bit small) bedrooms and a full bathroom. We stayed there for a full week and it was comfortable. We also made heavy use of the pool and hot tub, which were very enjoyable. In the lobby there is a bit of a convenience store area, and stocked coffee/tea/hot cocoa. Other than that, there are plenty of restaurants around for food. There were a few little things that might have been the result of Covid in terms of the cleanliness in some of the common areas, as well as no housekeeping until we actually asked for it which was a bit annoying. There was also only one working remote for 3 TVs. When we checked in there were some issues with their billing/credit card system, and then the sutie we were given was occupied despite their system saying nobody was in the room. Thankfully this was all fairly easily resolved by the staff.
