We stayed 2 nights in a superior de luxe room. The rooms are spacious, with comfy beds, chairs and huge bathroom. We also had our own pool and outside shower. The room had great views over the valley and river. Beds turned down each evening and free sherry. Breakfast is self serve cols and hit dishes to order. We booked dinner on both nights - 4 courses, choices are made after breakfast. We also went on the Addo game drive, which sets of at 8 am. It's a 25km drive to the park in a god truck. Your driver is your guide ( take your drink and poss a jacket on cooler days) . Lunch is provided by the hotel which was very filling. The road to the hotel is unmade so be wary if in a hire car, also lots of road works in the area so allow extra time.

Awesome x 1000. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the food was delicious. The view is breath taking and the bird life is fantastic. The rooms are well maintained with super friendly staff that is willing to help and assist with every thig. Thanks for a great stay, we will be back..................

This was my 2nd visit at Hitgeheim joined by members of the Mercedes Benz Club of the Eastern Cape. The accommodation, food and service were outstanding as always. I have already made arrangements to go back with the same crowd next year. If you have not been to Hitgeheim you have not experienced what it feel like to be spoilt. Thank you to Archie and his team for another unforgettable weekend.

The whole experience was 10/10. Friendliest personnel, best breakfast (the Maltabella and eggs benedict were the best ever), great dinner, and the room was clean, neat and beautiful. We also made use of the shuttle service - felt very safe and will recommend it when you have to travel at night. Next time we will do the game drives as well.

Great accom,grub,views and service.If/when next up that neck of the woods would love to revisit.Superb outdoor braai facilities in the self catering cottages which combined with the restaurant enables one to mix and match meals during your stay.

Stunning location with comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Some rooms have a private pool. Staff are friendly and capable. A good relaxing experience. Do include the game drives. Well worth it. Excellent breakfast and a four course meal every evening.

very nice place and staff. A top service, excellent dinner and breakfast, experienced safari guy. Rooms are romantic, clean and enough space. The shower was outside, cool feeling.

An absolute gem! We stayed in the self-catering rooms which were really nicely decorated and comfortable. There is a lovely pool and braai area reserved for only the two rooms. It was wonderful as my husband and I could use one room and my parents the other, but we still had the shared entertainment area to use together. We will go back every time we are in the area! Fabulous food at the restaurant and go-out-of-their-way-friendly staff! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
