Expensive for what you get. The hotel was empty which I guess reflects the expense of the room. We had the DBB package. Unfortunately there were not enough staff to provide the service you would expect. So you had to wait for ten minutes for someone to come to serve you in the bar. Unfortunately the garden is on the busy main road, so not the best ambience. Dinner was very nice. We had sea bass which was beautifully cooked, however we were the only diners in the restaurant so it felt a bit empty. We had a good night's sleep although taxi drivers sitting in the car park sit and chat which is disturbing. Breakfast was ordered at the table but the bacon mushrooms and tomatoes had clearly been cooked well in advance and were inedible. This is a mediocre hotel charging premium prices.

A good hotel for the price. Room 101 that we occupied was clean and well appointed. Power points were plentiful and well-sited and the room had a large desk area for working/dining. One window could be opened providing a nice alternative to A/C. The bathroom was sufficiently spacious and the shower and hand-basin worked well.

We stayed at this hotel as a surprise treat for my wife's birthday. The classic room was a very good standard the shower in bathroom was exceptionally good. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food offerings were of s good standard.The only problem appears to be with there accounting system when trying to charge items to the room.Would happily recommend

I'd sum it up as quirky. The room was clean, but gloomy without turning on the lights. The mattress wasn't uncomfortable but was decidedly bouncy unlike the more usual firm beds in hotels. Breakfast choices were good but the service was somewhat chaotic - we had to search for spoons and ask for more bread for the communal toaster; two glasses of water arrived when I asked for one, and two plates of two fried eggs were delivered when only two eggs had been requested. On the plus side, it's in a quiet area and there's great pub food available at the Rose & Crown a few yards down the road.

After a phone call the booking was made, upon arrival we were warmly greeted the check in was very quick, our room was on the second floor very close to the lift, Our room was very well appointed with most things you might require on a visit, as we had arrived earlier than expected we had lunch in the restaurant, just a salad as we were booked in for dinner that evening, again the menu was more than adequate and our meal was very good, Breakfast was included in our deal again very good plenty of everything on a buffet style service. When it was time to leave again just as check in the leaving was just as quick and easy. We would certainly visit this hotel again it was more than comfortable and cosy
