Top rated hotels in West Yellowstone

Brandin' Iron Inn
4/5100 Reviews
It belongs to the type of motel, with a total of two floors. It is relatively large and has more rooms. It is easy to check in and check out. Free parking. The room is more compact, mainly because there is no wardrobe, there is a shelf next to the room where you can wash a few clothes. Two beds of about 1.5, can accommodate 4 people. The room I lived in was on the second floor without an elevator. My suitcase is small, so there is no inconvenience. Breakfast is simple, bread, milk, coffee, tea. Fried cheese chicken dan, hot and salty oat paste. You can eat without being picky. The location is good, there is a Chinese restaurant next to it: Honglian. There is also a medium-sized supermarket. It is about 10 minutes walk from the west entrance of Yellowstone Park.
Gray Wolf Inn & Suites
4.5/5121 Reviews
Grey Wolf Inn is a terrific place with helpful, accommodating staff. It is in an excellent location within walking distance of numerous shops and restaurants in West Yellowstone. We found our room to be clean and the inn well maintained. The breakfast bar is excellent with abundant selections of foods to choose from, and they provide smores kits for use with their fire pit during the evening. This was the perfect place to come back to after full days in Yellowstone. Also, the Grizzly and Wolf exhibit across the street from the inn is not to be missed.
Yellowstone Lodge
3.9/5100 Reviews
We stayed here for a snowmobiling trip inside the park. Rooms were clean, warm, and updated. Easy access to restaurants, a few blocks from shopping, and sled rentals. Breakfast was cereal, coffee, milk, pastries, hard boiled eggs, and juice. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Thought it was reasonable price. Hot tub was small, but pool area was clean.
Under Canvas West Yellowstone

We had an amazing experience and wish to do it again soon. A simple hotel would cheat you of the beauty of the wonderful surroundings. Enjoy hotel comfort under the stars and hearing and seeing nature all around you. To help do so, we wish to share tips on how to also have a wonderful experience and avoid the experience of some fellow campers who complained of freezing and smoke during our stay. During check-in our receptionist provided a quick wood stove loading and lighting instruction, and even volunteered to help get our wood-burning stove started, yet there were still fellow campers who struggled throughout the night to keep their families warm using the furnished tent wood stove, especially when confronted with high winds & freezing overnight temperatures. It is of my opinion that a 2-minute session during check-in is not adequate for a typical “glamping” customer. Published reviews appear to substantiate similar problems during previous stays, with campers even resorting to sleeping in their cars, of course tinging their experience and resulting in 1-star reviews. While my family and I have used a wood stove for primary heat in our home in the past, we are certainly not experts in heating or camping. As with other reviews, we too were here to partake in our first “glamping” experience, and also found the camping stoves design and installation to be lacking when compared to our “home style” wood stoves. We had to remind ourselves that we were indeed camping, and overcame the small obstacles to thoroughly enjoy our stay and cannot wait to stay again at Under Canvas. Since the same stove is also used at the other Under Canvas resorts, I believe the attached list of tips, developed from our “lessons learned” during our 4-day stay at Under Canvas - Yellowstone, may help turn a 1-star cold disappointment into a 5-star memory. NOTE: This list consists of general wood stove tips and specific user instructions to help mitigate the shortcomings of this camping stove’s design, its installation and the camp sites resource limitations. Although summer, the overnight temps dropped down to 32F degrees with wind gusts of up to 25MPH.
Holiday Inn West Yellowstone

We’ve been to West Yellowstone several times, but never stayed at this hotel. We usually pick one closer to the main street, but glad we finally gave it a shot. It’s a very short walk to restaurants and shopping, has ample parking, direct shot to the west gate of YNP, has all the amenities you’ll need, and the rooms are sizable with a comfortable bed and even a couch. We’d absolutely stay here again. Our only regret was not checking out the pool, but we were out until late every day and just too tired. Maybe next trip!
Yellowstone West Gate Hotel

The location is in the west of the town of West Yellowstone. The town is small and self-driving, so the location is not important. The waiters are very kind and very polite. The price of accommodation in Huangshi in July is expensive.
