Hotel Dubdi

It's rated three star .It's a 1 star 🌟 We arrived tired from Gangtok at 8pm. Was shocked to see the room. Rooms - old rickety broken furniture,dirty floors,door hinges were old and unmaintainted Blankets provided were the old style checked scratchy ones. Toilet - no toilet paper, wet ,potty seat had hair on it . Room was facing an old dump. Food served was cold No proper cutlery Our agents Sikkim Darjeeling tourism booked us .....definitely a Big No to this place and Sikkim Darjeeling Tourism , big rip off. I had paid for 2 nights but I checked out into another hotel after the first night though they upgraded to a deluxe . The 2nd room was just as bad.

Lacks of basic facilities in this hotels. Food quality was average. Room size was small. Bathroom was not cleaned.

Food was good. Since no other rooms were available, we booked two economy room for three people. Had other options been available, we would not have booked economy room, reason being one of the rooms was not in use for some of the time, room was not cleaned, door mat was dirty and worn out, bathroom was very small so we had to take bath in other room. While checking out, manager informed that room no. 116 was not in use for few days, in that case it was necessary to get the room cleaned and ready when management knew that they are allotting the room. Room no 119 was ok but 116 was worst. Staff behaviour and cooperation etc was excellent. We find food was very tasty. Except for room no 116, other things were quite nice and appreciable.

Location of the hotel is a bit away from the market of upper pelling. Hotel is overall good. But rooms for mm t customers are provided in the basement where view of the valley is obstructed. The staff is not so adept. Food is overpriced, however the taste is very average. Overall a good experience but not matched the expectations.

Nice place for budget stay. Small room. No view from room. Power backup was there. Food was served on time! bathroom had enough space. Bed had bumps because two small bed was attached. Tv worked well. Had good hot water facility.
