The Wilshire Grand Hotel

I was traveling alone and disabled,  while serving myself at breakfast my first day, I asked the lady what time breakfast was stopping being served, I expected just to be told the time, but instead she said the sign is there on top of the toaster, I was serving myself juice, not an easy walk to read the sign and then go back for juice and a waffle.  I heard her tell a coworker this isn’t the easiest place to work for,I almost told her how lucky she was to have a job. 🥲

the front desk people could be a bit friendlier. they just seemed cold, they didnt do anything particular, but a smile and thanks for staying with us goes a long way.

Good location. Good service except a slight mistake in number of rooms.

The hotel was good, not outstanding.  The room was large.  The shower was not great--difficult to operate and dripped.  The breakfast was not great.  The location was good for us and the bed was comfortable.

Room was neat and comfortable. Also bright, sunny and capacious. Window heating and cooling unit was quite noisy and a bit hard to adjust properly.

Staff was kind and helpful, room clean and tidy, just wish the beds were queen sized instead of full but other than that it was a nice short stay. Wish we were able to stay long enough to have the breakfast- but hopefully next time.

When we travel, we always wipe down the surfaces in our room because let’s be honest, rooms are never fully cleaned properly. This hotel was amazing, the wipes were still clean after wiping down the room!!! Very impressed with cleanliness. The one downfall of our stay was that we were a party of 4, and were given 3 pillows for our room. When we went to get more, they said they were sold out and had no more, then told us “sorry” nothing else. Too bad. Lol I never knew they could do this. Other than this, place was great and we would stay again!

We found ants on the desk, Phone not working . breakfast very very poor. hotel not what it used to be. Sorry

We overall were satisfied with our stay at the hotel. The process of checking-in and out was simple and quick. We got the superior double room, which itself was mediocre, but clean, no bed bugs in sight. We specifically liked that they had free parking, and they provided free beverages and popcorn in the lobby. It was nice that they had a couple of different options for breakfast; their croissants were especially tasty. It was fun that they also had a waffle maker and a bagel cutter. They also had an ice machine on each floor, which was super convenient. Although, there were some issues, such as the guest wifi being slow. It was also not detectable via phones, but we did manage to connect to it via laptop. The shampoo, conditioner, and soaps provided were also quite bad; they left the skin incredibly dry. The toilet was also kind of finicky, as we needed to hold the handle down for long to flush. Also, the water from the bath rusty at first. However, overall we would rate this as a satisfactory stay especially considering the cost of the room.
