From the outside this seemed to be an unassuming older style building with a good sized car park at the rear of the hotel. Once in however, it's a modern design with a good layout. There is a lift to all floors. We were unable to get a room with a seaview as they were already booked. Our bedroom.was beautifully decorated with a large comfortable bed, comfy seating for two with a small table & a variety of lighting choices including adjustable reading lights on both sides of the bed, desk & a magnifying mirror. There's was also tea & coffee making facilities & a fridge with fresh milk & a large bottle of chilled water. There was a spacious ensuite bathroom with a large walk in shower & a rare & thoughtful touch - hair conditioner, in the shower along with the normal bodywash & shampoo. Very rarely seen in hotels! There were two different choices of showerheads, adjustable & fixed rainfall showerhead. Large fluffy towels & flannels too. Unfortunately our room faced towards the road, which is a fairly busy road from earlier than would normally be expected. However, that was catered for too. A small card to acknowledge the unavoidable noise & complementary earplugs to aid a good sleep! The breakfast offered an excellent range of choices. It was served in the View Restaurant which has a lovely view of the sea. We didn't eat there in the evening so we can't comment on the quality of the evening meals. All round great small clean hotel, nice staff & good attention to small details that enhance the stay.

We wanted a place we had never been to before and many options to choose from. So glad we chose here. We were celebrating life ...of two people myself as a year ago from the day we stayed was the day I got out of hospital " Alive and Kicking " after major surgery. Also we were celbrating the last full day of my mum who died the next day. We only wished my mum had been there to experience the view. (Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious)Practically perfect in every way . We booked an Executive Double Room and breakfast was included . I wanted a balcony and a seaview and what a stunner. We actually manged to sit and have a drink from just inside the doors and wallow in the stunning aspect!!! On arrival we were met by a lovely gentleman was so polite and ( although a breakdown of communication between the people we booked through and the hotel) it all got sorted. We arranged a late check out ( at extra cost ) we didnt mind as a few days before we arrived we heard about storm Eowyn and so it was well needed. We booked for dinner and after wallowing in the size of the room we had the Corrie room, we went down for dinner. Menus were available in the room and I am terrible at trying to choose and stick to it . So we decided to choose before we went down and wrote down our options and so because we wanted a bottle of wine the drinks came quickly . Voigner and Chardonnay. very tasty. The menu prices were correct at time of our stay. Good selection and hubby had difficulty choosing what to have and thats not like him. Starter for me was Pate and plenty of it . Very tasty. Hubby had the Antipasto Board and although a sharer we did feel it fed one person adequately ( maybe not big enough for two? ) again personal choice . The meat selection was very good. Mains we had Lamb Osso Buco for me ( my first time having it ). Love lamb and it was tender enough however I did expect a little more flavour. The mash was really silky . We did pass our comments to the staff and if they dont know what can be improved on then they cant fix it.Hubby had the Seafood Marinara and seafood heaven for him. A bit more lobster would never go amiss but understand that at that cost it was good value. To finish with we shared a cheese board from the sharing menu and that was sufficent and ended a lovely meal and a good price too. The bottles of wine one each served us from pre drinks to during the meal and afterwards. Took a bottle of Voigner upstairs to enjoy the view some more. All in all and amazing stay and was near to tears of joy when I saw the room and so glad to have stayed . We will return another time Thank you .

I came here last Wednesday for lunch the food was average. The service was a total disgrace only 1 guy really was taking orders . My brother and I waited ages for our main course to arrive about 45 minutes approx. I will not be returning to this hotel again . I used to like coming for meals under the last owners of this hotel . But standards have dropped here .

On Friday the 13th of December my friends and I (9 of us) went to Seamill House Hotel for an overnight. We all had a fabulous time. All the rooms were superb, clean and beds were very comfortable. Our evening meal was excellent and the entertainment was also very good. Breakfast next morning was also excellent. We will definitely be back again for our annual get together before Christmas. Our whole experience was 5* quality

Although we have stayed in Seamill on a couple of previous occasions, this was the first time we had stayed at the Seamill House Hotel. We decided to book an executive room for 3 nights and we were allocated the Corrie room. It was a very comfortable room with a great view of the Isle of Arran. The room also had a balcony and it would be great to sit out during the summer months. As our stay was planned to be a "chill out", we decided to eat at the hotel each night. For a small establishment (9 rooms), the evening menu was quite extensive. The restaurant also had views of Arran although at this time of year, that was only possible during the morning. The standard of food at both breakfast and evening meals was excellent. The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. They work long hours but nothing was too much of a bother to them. The only minor criticism was, as with a lot of hotels, the price of drinks in the bar were a little expensive but not so expensive to stop us imbibing. We would thoroughly recommend the Seamill House hotel. We certainly plan to return in the future.

Went to seamill house for lunch. Were shown to a table, given menus and left. Not asked if we wanted drinks. Sat for at least 20 mins while 2 waiting staff stayed behind the bar sorting cutlery and chatted. Eventually asked if we wanted a drink. These were brought at their own slow pace and then left. Waited for someone to take a food order but no one came. Eventually had to call one of them over and ask if we could order. Food came eventually after they served people that had come in after us. Weren't asked if food was ok or if we needed more drinks ( even tho we were sitting with empty glasses). We were there almost 2 hours to get soup and Mac & cheese. Food was very nice. Waiting staff are taking away the good efforts of the chef. Great wee place have stayed many times before but would hesitate to return.

Couldn't fault anything with the hotel it was excellent. Had dinner at night, the best fish n chips I have had in years, the full breakfast was excellent as well. Although the hotel is close to the main coastal road we did not find this a problem. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Had a family meal here. Got steak pie and the meat was so tough I couldn't get my knife through it. I complained and was offered a replacement but didn't want one as my daughters steak pie was awful too. When I got the bill I had been charged for 2 steak pies I questioned this with the blonde waitress, who if she smiled her face would crack. She did take one steak pie off even though I told her both were awful All staff were so unpleasant which made for an unpleasant experience Never again
