White Cottage B and B

My boyfriend and I stayed at this lovely B&B for the weekend in late January. As we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Ellen, one of the owners. She was really friendly and helped us to settle in. She asked us to complete our breakfast choices that evening, so she knew what to prepare for the following morning. We ticked most things because there were lots on the menu (traditional fry up, but with a variety of eggs, etc). It was delicious. Along with our cooked breakfast, we had the choice of breakfast cereals and fresh juices, too. Our room was called ‘Garden view’. It was very spacious and clean. The bathroom looked brand new and immaculate. The only negative about the bathroom is that one window doesn’t have a blind or curtain (though it technically didn’t need one because it was a velux window, so no-one would see from above). The main room came with a double bed and single bed, with three windows and therefore we could look out at the large garden either side of the property. We really liked how we could see so many birds and wildlife, as well as gardening equipment. We even saw a squirrel enjoying his breakfast when we ate ours! Ellen said how she looks after the wildlife. Also offered in the room was a large wall tv, kettle, cups and a good range of coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The first day we arrived (Saturday), we went into Skegness centre. It’s like a miniature Blackpool. This was about a 25 minute drive away from the B&B. Lots of amusement and arcade places, with bowling, McDonald’s, shops and a shopping centre. There’s also Skegness Aquarium, which was the purpose of our stay. We went there on the Sunday, where I did the diving with sharks experience. As it was late January, nothing much was open. Fantasy Land was closed, for example. Overall, the B&B was wonderful and we would definitely return!

It was our second visit and our stay was as excellent as the first time. Ellen was a wonderful host, the room was spacious, the bed king size and very comfortable and the breakfast fabulous and very filling. Definitely recommend and will be back in the future.

Ellen & Steve are wonderful hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. Perfect is the word I would use for this fabulous B&B in Spilsby Lincolnshire. Instant relaxation knowing that everything is catered for. Great location and plenty to do and places to visit within a short drive. The garden is another place to relax, well maintained and full of plants to check out and take photos of. I could go on but I think you get the picture

What a find. Ellen are host was fabulous and made us very welcome. The beds were so comfy and pillows like floating on air. The doors leading to a beautiful garden together with a koi carp fish pond. So relaxing. The furnishings were of very good quality. Breakfast what can I say was huge and of very good quality. Such a lovely B&B. Thank you x

This is an amazing guest house, with beautiful gardens maintained by the owners. Facilities and decor are of the highest quality and finished to the highest standard. The owners are really lovely, and provided a delicious breakfast, with a wide choice of options. I cannot rate it highly enough. And perfectly situated for the Lancaster aviation centre at East Kirkby.

If ever you are in Lincolnshire and need a place to stay, we would highly recommend White Cottage bed and breakfast, Spilsby, Lincolnshire. Myself and my husband, two grown up daughters and their partners and 3 year old grandson stayed for one night and wished we were staying for longer! The cottage itself is beautiful. The rooms are immaculate and taken care of and prepared so thoughtfully with a cosy, modern feel. The garden is a beautiful mix of neat lawn, tidy, colourful beds and wild life areas. So many nooks and crannies to explore and relax in with chickens and ducks to lay fresh eggs for the delicious breakfast. Ellen and Steven are warm and welcoming and must work their butt's off, putting their heart and soul into White Cottage 🏡❤️
