This hotel definitely looks nice & new in the photos, but it’s already got some issues. When you go to check in, the lobby area isn’t clear from the outside like they typically are, especially on a snowy day. But we found it & the front desk staff person was kind & helpful. Got us an early check in, which we appreciated! We just weren’t aware that the only room available was because it’s next to the boilers (219) & that’s why it wasn’t already in use (which also surprisingly needs some maintenance even though it’s lesser used). We thought during the day it was like construction noises, so we figured surely it’d be fine overnight- nope. Not only VERY noisey, but also vibrations near constantly so ear plugs won’t even fix it. It’s unfortunate that area wasn’t designated for storage or maintenance etc instead- because it’s really miserable to try to sleep in it. Found out the next morning that it’s not rented often if they can avoid it because of the noise- of course the staff can’t say it’s available because it’s not a good room- so guests beware. Other issues with the room were that the dishwasher appears to not even be plugged in- so I rinsed & loaded all of our dishes, but none of the buttons work. Worst part actually that gave me a terrible migraine was the mold. Under the sink there must be a water leak- making a moldy/musty smell I’m super allergic to & the extra paper towel roll there weighed 5 pounds from water it had soaked up & black mold in it!
