Stayed at The Charlie for 10 days and it was great. The staff is amazing. They check with you every day with regards to working around your schedule as to when you want your room cleaned or if you need anything else. The very comfortable historic rooms are awesome and make you feel like you are not only back in the 20s and 30s of Hollywood but also make you feel like you are at home and not in a hotel. The hotel is located in the middle of a very nice LA neighborhood and you would never know its there until you pull through the hotel's gate and there are these amazing, beautiful and quiet hotel grounds in which the hotel is spread out on. You have no idea you are in the middle of LA when you are there. However, on the same note just a couple of blocks from the hotel are great coffee shops and shopping. We walked almost everyone morning to a local coffee shop and had breakfast. Best place to stay in LA.

This was such a charming hotel to relax and recuperate following surgery. It is named after Charlie Chaplin. Parking was onsite and protected by locked garage gate. The courtyard was lovely with lots of flowers, trees, and some benches. My large suite had full kitchen and private enclosed patio with bench and small orange tree that was bearing fruit. The amenities were many, such as a Charlie tablet for use during my stay. The tv screen was huge and easy to see from anywhere in the very large room. Assorted drinks and snacks were available in the room and refrigerator for a reasonable price. All the staff were helpful and friendly. I stayed at this hotel again in April and was able to book this same unit. Had a wonderful stay and hope to stay here any time I come to West Hollywood.

This is a very nice hotel. They have a nice garden in the courtyard, we fully enjoyed it. You can enjoy the flower fragrance in the garden, loved it. The one bedroom we stayed has a little patio outside, and a nice patio table. There is a tree with huge golden flowers hanging down, new experience, love the nature smell. The room is clean, spacious. The service team is really nice. Check in, check out is smooth even through we need to confirm the exact check in time. I am glad we provided pretty accurate check in time, and didn't miss the check in time of the day. Cleaning job was really good. The only thing is the vintage smell of the room is bit hard to get use to. The smell also get onto the cloth. Maybe a new layer of paint can help with that. Overall, if you want a great location with an relaxing, quiet env, this place is perfect for you.

My wife and I spent a weekend here as part of an 11 day California adventure. The Charlie was recommended by my sister who lives in Melrose Hill. Everything about this place was perfect. Great location, close to bars, restaurants, etc. Our suite was spacious, well appointed and clean. The staff was very nice and communicative .I will absolutely stay here again

The Charlie Hotel is a low-rise oasis in West Hollywood. Its suites are quiet, clean, have kitchens, washing machines/dryers and free parking. It is in a lovely, walkable neighborhood and we walked to many restaurants as well as to a nearby supermarket. There is a lovely garden in the courtyard. Our only problem was that we rented a sedan that was hard to park in the narrow parking spots and almost impossible to turn around - so we had to back out of the driveway twice. Next time we’ll rent a smaller car.

Our experience was so wonderful! We stayed in the Marlene and it was charming, beautiful, spacious and beyond comfy. The office staff to the gardeners and cleaning staff were very helpful and courteous. This classy yet quaint family owned hotel is real gem and I plan on staying again.
