Residence Inn Columbia West/Lexington

Front desk staff was very friendly and kind. The hotel is dirty, not filthy but not clean either. Do not walk barefoot in the rooms and wear flip flops in the shower. We had two rooms due to issues with the 1st room. 1st room, discovered at 11pm as we were getting into bed that there was a large wasp nest in the middle of the curtains in our room, which tells me the cleaning crew doesn’t actually look at everything in the room, the shower had mold in the corners, the couch had dark stains on it, the remote was sticky and didn’t work. The 2nd room, that was a supposed to be an upgrade due to the issues with the wasp nest, also had dirty furniture, smelled like **** and was also surface dusty/dirty. It was not a comfortable stay due to cleanliness but we had no other choice given the time of night we had to check in and I wasn’t going to repack for the 3rd time to find another hotel. Room was expensive for a rundown place and we were given no discount for the trouble. We won’t be back.

Clean room, comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast and coffee. Elizabeth was friendly and helpful at check-in. Good water pressure in shower. ……………. I added pictures……………………………………………….. I didn’t use the fitness center or pool ………………..

Overpriced, as all the Residence Inns in Columbia are. OK toaster and standard tiny coffee machine. The breakfast room was marginally maintained - 3 empty coffee urns, dried up scrambled eggs, no plates (1/2 hour before weekend 10:00 breakfast closing).

This was not our first stay here. We had stayed in 2021 and enjoyed it so much that we just had to stay here again. We had spent a week in Florida and decided to spend two nights here to just rest before continuing home. We were greeted by a very friendly younger lady. Our little fur baby doesn't really like other people loving on him. But, something about her that he allowed it :) Our room was very clean. Hot water for showers was amazing!! We had a living area with sectional couch, desk, lamps, table for two and kitchenette. It was so comfortable!! We will stay again if we are able to travel through Columbia again.

Hotel was pretty clean. King suites are nice design and large. Bed was comfortable. We had a minor issue with person above us jumping (continual loud banging noises), but front desk called them and it wasn't an issue again. The gym could use some additional accessories (e.g. foam rollers, mats, yoga blocks, other equipment). It was very basic with a few treadmills, 1 eliptical, 1 bench and 8 sets of dumbbells. Breakfast needs more healthy options. There was no whole wheat bread, only fruits were oranges and apples (beyond syrup filled fruit cup), and no cold water (although front desk provided us with bottled water upon request). Overall we'd stay here again passing through

Amazing hotel!! The staff makes you feel right at home. Clean rooms and a huge beautiful lobby. Breakfast is great. The outside patio is also really awesome. It has a firepit and a grill! You will not regret staying here. Lots of food options in the area!
