I come to this area every year for a classic car cruise and visit family. This is the closest hotel to my family. I have stayed here in years past and its been average. Nothing special but I don't spend a lot of time there to begin with. This visit the room was overcome with a musty odor. The only way to combat it was to run the A/C very high and keep the bathroom fanning running. After a day in the sun we would come back to this ice box. Without doing that the room smelled and none of the linens would dry. And it was't really that humid out. The Wifi was also very glitchy. These are enough factors that when I return next year I won't be coming back to this Hampton Inn.

We had a great experience at this location. The staff were friendly (especially at breakfast) and helpful. The room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. Parking was available close to the entrance which made it easy to unload with the kids. Would stay again if we were back in the area.

Upon walking into this hotel, we liked what we saw. The lobby area was nice and inviting.The room was nice and clean. We Loved having a fridge and a microwave. The ammenities were nice. The bed was very comfortable. We didn't use the pool or exercise area. We arrived later in the evening and checked out before breakfast even began. Can I just say tho......AMBER! She was absolutely amazing. She greeted us with a smile and a great attitude which we needed after what we had gone thru at our previous hotel. What a breath of fresh air. We chatted on and on while we checked in. I cannot say enough about how wonderful she was. When we had come down to the lobby shortly after checking in she was mopping the floor and I must say she was happily doing it. She always had a smile on her face. Hotels need more GSA like her. You have a real gem on your hands there. We just loved her.

My family traveled a long way to attend our Grandmothers funeral some two months since she passed. It was a difficult trip to make on a good day, let alone dealing with all of the state to state restrictions. Theresa got us all checked in. Made sure we got some food and called to check on us periodically as we are not familiar with the area. She recommended places to eat and places not to eat. We made several modifications to our reservations through out the week and all of them were accommodated above and beyond. The hotel was clean, smelled good and all of the staff were smiling. You can always tell when someone is smiling when they are wearing a mask. It's hard to hide. You can tell that the hotel was short staffed, but everyone is. All of the front desk people and house keepers greeted us every morning and evening as we came and went. I thank them all.

I had a poor experience at the Sheraton in Novi while staying with a family member to celebrate a belated Christmas as we weren't able to get together around Christmas proper. While I was upgraded to a room on the club lounge floor, the guest room I received was not clean by any definition of clean. There was hair on the desk and desk chair, hair on the toilet, hair under the toilet seat, hair on the wrapped bar of soap and soap dish, stains on the desk, and stains on the face tissue container. The single bathrobe hanging in the closet appeared to have been previously worn and didn't have a cincture. On my reservation I specifically requested only 100% feather pillows. My reservation also requested a bathrobe, slippers, extra pillows and extra towels. I didn't receive any of those things. The four pillows were four polyester down-alternative pillows. Those pillows are horrible. They always feel like someone stuffed cotton balls in a pillowcase. During check-in I noticed a sign at the front desk saying daily housekeeping is not provided, unless specially requested. The major cleanliness issues that I experienced are a direct result of what happens when hotels don't clean rooms and other spaces each and every day. I received zero Marriott Bonvoy elite status recognition. Specifically, I was not offered the choice at check-in of breakfast in the restaurant, an amenity or points. I complained to the general manager, who to his credit acknowledged the lack of cleanliness was unacceptable, fully apologized and took responsibility. To resolve the issue, he offered to comp my stay and ensure that the room was thoroughly cleaned while we were out of the room and off-property at a nearby shopping mall. He also apologized for the lack of Bonvoy recognition and provided the $100 cash compensation that is required by Marriott for not offering guest with platinum or higher Bonvoy status the choice at check-in of breakfast in the restaurant, an amenity or points. When we returned, the room was properly cleaned. The pillows were replaced with feather pillows, although none of the feather pillows had pillow protectors or pillowcase liners. Two clean bathrobes and two pairs of slippers were placed in the closet. The general manager was also kind enough to leave a bottle of wine in the room. My family member was really appreciative of that gesture. Despite the issues, the staff that I encountered throughout the stay were polite, welcoming and hospitable. That aside, there was zero excuse for the cleanliness issues or the lack of attention to what was specified on the reservation The club lounge was open with an average evening offering that included a selection of assorted cheeses, crackers, grapes, fruit and some basic canapés. Besides free nonalcoholic drinks, an honor bar featured cheap house wine ($5 retail bottles of wine) selling for $5 a glass. The club lounge is a nice smaller space. The hotel is very good, the room is more comfortable than the 4 stars I stayed in California, the decoration is very new, all the supporting facilities are very good, the restaurant downstairs, the breakfast is very rich, the fruit is very fresh, and the parking is convenient.

Bertha ( Front Dek Manager) was my first contact and she is WONDERFUL!! A little later I met the two Owners who made me feel right at home. Rooms very clean, Wonderful bed, everything just right. Definitely will be back.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Room was very comfortable with mini fridge and microwave. The bed was big and comfort was a 7 out of 10. A/C unit was quiet. Toilet had super sucker pressure (you don't have to worry about clogging it) and the shower possibly had the BEST water pressure of any hotel I had every stayed at, it was great, felt like you walked out of a waterfall when you were done showering, very refreshing! The only downside to the room was the area around the sink was on the small side and the lighting around the sink need to be brighter. Breakfast was good, had your standards oatmeal, waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels but no muffins. Would stay here again, very quiet area on the weekend, and excellent value!
