This older motel has been upgraded. Rooms are comfortable and service is excellent. Room was somewhat small but tastefully furnished, including mini fridge, toaster, full in-room climate control, workspace, and a very comfortable bed. Staff service was cordial and efficient. Room and bathroom were both spotless. Covered parking right at the door of the unit. Many restaurant and shopping options available nearby in Ballina. Easy access to the M1 motorway north to the Gold Coast or south towards Sydney. Less than 30 minutes from Byron Bay. All in all an excellent stay. Highly recommended.

Liked - King bed was very comfortable and pub etc was within walking distance. Air conditioner worked well and the room appeared to be partially renovated. Disliked - Arrived after nominated check in time and had to wait for tradesperson to finish grouting tiles in bathroom, which by then was after 4pm. Bathroom was very old and small , tiles mouldy. Compendium in room had seen better days, dirty and yukky!

To give this dump a 3 star rating is generous.. indeed one star is generous.. in fact calling it a dump is generous. It’s website is so misleading it verges on criminal misrepresentation. I question the authenticity of the reviews that claim otherwise.

The room had been updated with new carpet, furniture, TV and comfortable king bed. Clean with nice linen. Because of the by-pass, there is little traffic on street at night. Has all kitchen items for tea, toast and a microwave. Good for a budget motel.

Place is clean, repainted newish furniture friendly staff but, there is no area to place your luggage other than the floor, the A/C is the 70’s type built into the window, heaven help if you were here in summer. With the A/C it’s on and noisy or off and warm. The celling fan gives some relief and at least it’s quiet.

I checked in here late Saturday night after an 8 hour drive and the manager (not sure of his name) was more then helpful and accommodating, the room was fresh and clean, honestly I can't complain one bit, it was quiet considering where the motel is on the road. I've stayed at a few places in ballina and have not walked away thinking I will definitely book in here next time for sure! Thankyou so much

Great management of this property. They were very friendly and accommodating for our large family. We were passing through and this Motel made a great mid way point in our trip. Our rooms were ready on arrival and we found the hosts to be very helpful and accommodated a box trailer too. Beds were comfy, bathroom was a little small, but did the job for us. Would definitely stay here again in the future.
