We stayed at the Hotel Zur Post, Wernigerode while we visited the Christmas market. The hotel is in a very good central location, not far from the market square and within walking distance of the railway station. The room was a good size, clean with a modern bathroom. The breakfast was very tasty with a wide choice. The host was very friendly, spoke good english and made helpful suggestions for our stay. We visited the Christmas market, Wernigerode castle and the Harz railway for the trip to the Brocken mountain.
