This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in in Switzerland! No. 1⃣️: There was no kettle in the room. I went down and asked the boss if he had a kettle. The boss said with a very bad attitude: No! I said what if I want hot water? The boss said firmly: No! I said I wanted instant noodles, and the boss asked: Why don't you eat Swiss food? I? ? ? No. 2⃣️: The refrigerator didn’t work, and the boss insisted that you have to plug it in and wait for a while before it works. I said it didn’t work even after waiting for a long time, but the boss insisted that it was impossible. After a few more attempts, the boss said it would be tomorrow. The staff came to work to take a look, but they didn't fix it until the last check out! No. 3⃣️: The attitude of the restaurant service staff during breakfast was extremely bad. They seemed to be discriminating against Asians (maybe just Chinese). You could feel the disgust on their faces. I accidentally took a raw egg. I don’t know how to use boiled eggs. I asked him if he could cook it for me. He said very rudely: No, you can cook it yourself. Then I just threw away my raw eggs! Would you rather waste an egg than cook it for me? ? ? After we finished eating, we planned to take a break and look at the scenery outside the window, but the man couldn't wait to come over and collect the plates! No. 4⃣️: The hygiene of the room is extremely poor. The sink is full of ash and hair. The paper roll used by the previous guest is still left in the toilet and confiscated! In short, this is a hotel with nothing good except for the scenery. It is a buffet breakfast but everything is in short supply. You have to search and search for anything. You have to look at the owner's face to get something! If you want to have an experience where you are treated with the u**ost respect, choose carefully! (especially Chinese friends)

I happened to walk by this hotel and thought the menu looked thoughtful, so we came back in the evening and were not disappointed. The food was excellent, using local ingredients and stepping outside the typical touristy fare you'll find elsewhere. Simone made us feel welcome and also gave some great advice about the local area. Maybe when we come back we'll stay at the hotel so the food is never far away :)

This hotel checks every box. First location- postcard view across a field looking at snow capped mountains.also around the corner from the cable car. We reserved early and got a large corner room with large windows and 2 private balconies- but any room for here would be lovely. The staff are friendly and competent. The owner, Martina, is hands on, gives great recommendations and is just lovely. Meals are served inside and outside on their large terrace.Breakfasts include all the items you would expect at a continental breakfast in Switzerland including fresh fruit cup every day. We did the half board every day! We hiked extensively, rested in late afternoon and walked downstairs in flip flops for a new 4 course dinner every night! Courses ranged from very good to excellent- and we are gourmet cooks! The wine list was extensive and affordable. I can’t offer one caution except that the towels were hand dried, so they aren’t the lush Turkish towels you might be used to. We were fine with them- and they had crisp linens on the table at every meal. We hate to leave but will have many memories from our stay here.

Nice - not more. The décor reminds old people homes, the towels are unbearable (we actually went out and bought a towel), breakfast is very standard and basic. Staff helpful and nice. Lobby was locked in the evening which was very disappointing.

The town of wengen is magical and we really enjoyed our stay at the Berghaus. Martina, the owner, could not have been nicer or more helpful. She told us what hikes to take and informed us about what was going on in town while we were there. We got to see the cows come down from the mountains right there in front of the hotel. Paragliders also land right there . The view was amazing from our balcony. ( i will post a picture). There was a nice assor**ent of breakfast offerings and Pedro served us coffee every morning with a big smile on his face! I highly recommend this hotel and can't imagine anyone not giving it 5 stars.

Cozy family-run small hotel with excellent restaurant and superlative views. We never stay anyplace else when we come to Wengen! Rooms are comfortable and well cared-for, and have the amenities you really need (space, great views on the Jungfrau, minibar, drying rack, TV we never watch, hairdryer). Cozy and welcoming dining and common rooms are family friendly and great for meeting fellow travelers or catching up with the wonderful proprietress, Martina. Restaurant focuses on local fish specialties and offers a nice list of well selected Twanner wines — however the Chateaubriand is also excellent (book in advance). A must in Wengen!

We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant - snails in a nice cheese and garlic sauce followed by a perfect chateaubriand. This is a family run restaurant with a very relaxed a**osphere, but the food is high-end and good value. An excellent bottle of Pinot Noir completed our meal and we we very satisfied with our evening. Wonderful.

Hotel Berghaus is located in the lovely village of Wengen, Switzerland. The location is perfect if you want to explore the Bernese Oberland region. You can easily access the train and gondola and be quickly off on your adventures. The hotel offers comfortable and clean rooms with a view you cannot beat. The daily breakfast and dinners are amazing. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful offering tips on hikes and activities in the area. This is my third stay at this fantastic hotel and I can't wait to return.

If you are fortunate enough to travel to Switzerland, stay at Berghaus Wengen. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, food is outstanding ( best soups I have ever had) and the staff friendly. This all adds up to a relaxed and happy place. I love breakfast here, cheese, yogurt, a variety of breads and croissants, fruit and boiled eggs, something for everyone. Dinner is top notch, four courses of home cooked dishes that are delicious and abundant. Sitting on the patio or balcony looking at the view is a pleasure. It is a great location for exploring the Bernese Oberland Region. Easy access to town, train, Mannlichen lift and walking trails. I highly recommend staying here!
