Sarcastic, rude owner. Extremely loud parrots. Room not maintained properly... stool cushions torn, comfort chair torn, door rattles (had to secure it using toilet paper), door lock faulty (couldn't get key out), no toilet paper holder, to mention just a few. View in front of room of dustbins and broken clothesline also not what we expected to see based on pictures on the website. We booked and paid upfront for 4 adults for 7 days, but ended up not staying even 1 evening due to the fact that my husband who has a cochlear implant can't tolerate the loud parrot-squawking. Room was also not at all like the pictures. Owner refused to refund at all... not even one day was paid back, although we maybe spent an hour there in total. Definitely not even close to 4-star standards.

Really excellent and helpful staff. Very calm and relaxed environment. In easy reach of some good restaurants. Estate wine good. We opted for the breakfast. This was cooked while we waited and was uniformly good. The estate is a mile or so out of town and just at the edge of some really attractive mountains.

Even though Margaret tried her best to make us feel comfortable, the owner’s wife was plain rude. Apart from not greeting anyone, she refused to make fried eggs instead of scrambled because there were “10” guests. The facilities are definitely not 4 stars, the buildings and grounds are run down and needs serious maintenance. The restaurant was also not open in the evenings over a long weekend.

Aircon in one room not working and leaking badly in the other. Wasp in the gazebo. Dead crickets in the pots and cutlery was dirty. The place and arrangements was not as promised. Overall I was very disappointed after paying a huge price to book so many rooms.

Nice welcome in that big wine farm not far from Wellington. The rooms have been renovated in a way that the initial style is kept. Due to the structure of the rooms and vegetal roof the room stay fresh during the day. We did not need to start the aircon. The swimming pool is quite big.Breakfast is good. The restaurant nearby is managed by very nice people, good food, nice venue.

Was very nice and clean. Breakfast was delicious. We were there aftwr a wedding. The manager and everybody was very friendly. Views are beautiful. Gardens and grass well look after. Thank you ones again

Rooms were fine, but no client service from hosts - 2 ladies were friendly, but owner's wife was irritated and hardly spoke - breakfast was cold and quality of breakfast buffet was poor. Interior very old and needs attention

Comfortable, but had the feeling that more can be done with the rooms and service, for the price. Rooms and utilities are fairly basic. Kitchen area not adequate for full self-catering purposes. Overall, our stay was pleasant enough and Wellington has lots to explore!
