Wellington Rongotai Hotels

We arrived early at the hotel , the staff were very friendly and checked us in early which was great! It is perfect location for flights as the hotel is actually in the airport, lift straight to check in and departure lounge. There is a shuttle bus that goes from airport to Wellington station and stops at locations in between for museum etc. Stayed here a couple of times now and would definitely recommend.

Before booking, I didn't know that Jay Chou had taken photos downstairs of the hotel. I just read the reviews saying that the location, environment and service were good. This hotel has the style of a hotel and all the conveniences of a family hotel, including cooking, washing, drying and ironing. I left in a hurry and brought a mobile phone charger. The service staff lent it to me until I left. I will lock in this hotel when I go to Wellington next time. It's great value

The customer service team was very helpful & concerned our safety. We were five ppl and booked 2 rooms. They have us a set rooms, two rooms together and outside had another door, felt very secure. We arrived at 2:00am there was still a staff helping us to check in. Very thoughtful

The hotel does not provide breakfast, but the location of the hotel is very convenient. There is a supermarket within 10 minutes' walk. The train station, long-distance bus (with the train station) station, and the ferry terminal can be walked. It's downhill from Wellington's busiest commercial street, three minutes away. During the day, you can take the elevator down from the office building to the commercial street, and at night you can go down the steps. The hotel has parking. We booked a double bed room, the bed was big enough, and two people sleep very well. If you have children, you can book a twin room, that is, a large bed and a normal single bed. The hotel is also very convenient to the airport, and it takes 20 minutes by taxi. The hotel is very clean, and the washing machine, induction cooker, microwave oven, oven, cooker hood, as well as pots and plates, knives and forks are very complete, making cooking very convenient. In a word, I like it and I'm satisfied. If I go to Wellington, I will definitely stay in the hotel again.

The location of the room is very good. It's on the main street, with shops and restaurants nearby. It's not far from the parliament building, so it's very convenient to go everywhere. It's quite quiet at night. We had an early flight and arrived at the hotel before 11 o'clock. They actually let us check in early. Thank you very much! You can rest and relieve the fatigue of getting up early, and have more energy to play. Next to it is the mountain cable car station, and it is also very convenient to go to the National Museum.

It's very close to the ferry terminal, only 5 minutes drive away. There are many breakfast options. I ordered coffee and got latte art, which tasted pretty good. Although the hotel is a little old, it is well maintained. The beach nearby is nice to stroll around at night. The bar street is a bit messy, and there are many drunk people on the road, so be careful.

Not the best room (internal view). Bed good. Bathroom average. Had a hostel feel and smelt like paint. Was cold after Bali and aircon didn’t really heat it up much. Service very good and the bar restaurant area is attractive. Didn’t try restaurant as lots of options nearby. Good value.

It has a retro and elegant temperament, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the service is just right. The parking facilities have a fixed area in the dedicated parking lot next door, and the instructions are very clear. The location of the hotel is very good, but the entrance is a little small and it took a while to find it.

Thumbs up for the personal service of this hotel. When I made the reservation, I made a mistake in the month due to my carelessness, and I found out that I made a mistake after paying. The reservation is non-amendable and non-cancellable as per the hotel's policy. A few hours later, through communication with the hotel through Ctrip customer service, the hotel agreed to modify it for free.

The Ibis hotel was perfectly located in downtown Wellington for our needs. We could walk pretty much everywhere we wanted to go; close to Te Papa, Cuba St, and the train station. The hotel rooms seem a little dated in decor, but it was all clean and comfortable. The rooms are quiet at night and offer black out curtains for late sleepers. When we went, they had a full Uruk-hai costume on display in the lobby and my LOTR heart loved it! A downside was that parking was expensive (45NZD per day and actually completely booked out when we arrived, so book your hotel parking in advance if needed).
