70Tory Apartment Hotel

Booked city view one bedroom but on check-in was given room 0n level1 looking ‘Harvey Norman ‘- the building sign, that apparently is NOT so called a room with view. We stayed at the same accommodation 2021 but different hotel group then, when booked same room type while assigned high level overlooking the whole Te Aro area with beautiful lights at night. The kitchen tab has hot water only, yet cold water switch is broken, so we needed get cold water in the kettle from the bathroom. In the morning we were awaken by the weird noise from the kitchen. This property was not worth what we paid. There is no servicing of the rooms, we had 2 fire evacuations while the children were sleeping, two days in a row, one at night and one early hours of the morning. A third night we were woken with a drip in our bedroom at 3am. The rooms are very 90’s decor and no usb connections anywhere and plug sockets not in easily accessible places. Reception was friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable.

The property was clean. No house cleaning while we stayed there. As we were there for four days only the lack of house cleaning was not a major issue. Staff were helpful if we required anything such as tea/coffee. The apartment was small, ideal for family with young children. The area was noisy particularly at night.

Prefect perfect. Central location walked to Museums, Cuba St and all around. Bed the best we’ve had in months of travel. City view from living room and bedroom.Several small marts nearby. The only thing that could be improved is kitchen wares - only 2 of everything, e. G., plates, bowls, knives, spoons, etc. also could use some patio chairs and small table
