Just spent 2 nights in The House Next Door room 10 of the Waring House. For the nightly of $275 I was shocked at the room. I was part of a large group, and unfortunately there were no other rooms available or I would have checked out. To start with, in the bathroom there was a large section of black mold along the floor board, the caulking along the bottom of shower stall as well as the track were in need of deep cleaning, same with the floor of the shower since I don’t think it was meant to be grey. The sinks were cracked and unbelievably the clothes rail (only place to hang clothes up) was right next to the toilet! After my shower I hung up my towel & the towel bar came crashing down from the wall. The lights in the room were either entirely off or all on as they seemed to be on the same circuit. Same goes for the electrical outlets, so I couldn’t charge my phone once the lights were out. The manager seemed shocked when I showed her the photos, apologized and offered a small discount but it really didn’t make up for a truly awful room. It needs to be gutted and they should start over again.

This is a comfortable hotel with easy access from the 401 and close to lots of amenities. Walking distance to many restaurants, a mall, and a theater. I had a king room with a nice sitting area with a large flat screen TV in both rooms. Separating the bedroom through the sitting area reduces any hallway noise. The room view was of the parking lot. The meeting rooms were adequate with lots of smaller breakout rooms based on your groups need. Only item of note is that some rooms are on the long single hallway to the north side and some on the south side. If you are looking for others rooms, maybe check with them which end they are on unless you enjoy a walk. All staff were very helpful. The breakfast buffet is standard hot and cold, but very adequate.

We went to Belleville for a short friends reunion, seeing as how it was approximately half way between London, Ont. and Montreal , Qc. , and having read the previous reviews , decided to book us adjacent rooms here . Well the reviews were true. I've never been to a cleaner, friendlier, fully equipped, more comfortable hotel than this . The daily breakfast wasn't a couple of croissants with jam , no, instead everything you could possibly ask for hot and cold . And the sweet lady who served us on the hot breakfast side - what a darling , hard-working person. They didn't have a bartender at this time ( employee shortage due to pandemic ) but the girls at reception happily filled in and did their utmost to serve everyone. Smiles all around all the time ( yes we could still see them in spite of cautionary masks -lol ) The pool and whirlpool were fantastic additions to our pleasure. I could go on and on , but I would just be repeating all the good things that have already been described in previous reviews . All I have to add is I thoroughly recommend this hotel, and if all the Marriot hotels are like this , you've found a new client .
