The approach to this hotel says it all .There is very little signage and if your not carefull you will drive straight by it beause the first thing you see ia a deralict Buddies dinner. The Photos on the website were not reflected on the actual appearance of this hotel . The chap on the front desk was polite enough . My partner and i was given out room keys . We had seperate rooms because of snooring issues .My room had a strange smeel to it from when i walked in ,all the curtains were closed and when i opened them my view was one of a car park . My partners room was on the other side of the hotel and looking out of her widows was a slightly better view of trees but they were almost touching the windows making it dark in the room . as you looked out of the window it was full of spiders webs and nests. In her bathroom the drains smelt , all you could hear was the traffic up and down the A45 .all day and night . we thought well it is only for 2 nights . The reason of our visit was for my late mothers funeral . so it was important for me to get a good night sleep . That went out of the window when the room above started to walkaround ,i wondered what was going on i looked out of the window and the car park was full of work mens vans , so obviously not a hotel for families or couples , And this should be pointed out when booking especiall yfor the prices i was charged I was not happy at all .

We were in the area visiting family and planned to visit Rushden lakes. The Hotel is ideally situated for a visit to Rushden lakes, which is an easy 5 minute walk away. The Travelodge is located directly off the A45 behind the services, which is a petrol station and a boarded up Diner. If coming from the East you have to continue passed the hotel to the Roundabout and come back on yourself. The Hotel has had a refurb and is clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The pillows and towels are OK (but nothing special) and the bed was comfortable. We experienced a quiet night and a decent sleep. We got a really good deal for a Sunday night which made it exceptional value, this being the reason the Hotel got an extra star on the review. The location isn't the best if you are planning a longer stay, but for an overnight stay (or 2) for a family visit, work or a visit to the excellent Rushden lakes complex it's fine, there are many dining options, a lakeside walk and shops to explore.

Stayed at this Travelodge whilst doing an archaeological dig and it was perfect. John on reception was so lovely I loved coming back each evening and having a good natter with him. The room was very clean and very spacious and I felt right at home. The bed was so comfy I slept very well. I slept each evening with the windows open and it was very quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be staying again if in the area

Great hotel situated right next to Rushden Lakes shopping centre. Good size room. The hotel was quiet at night and the staff were really helpful and friendly.

Pleasant stay at this hotel and the added surprise which i wasn't expecting was the close proximity to Rushden Lakes shopping. At first I thought the only shop was the nearby filling station, but was informed by hotel manager Anne Marie of the Rushden Lakes shopping area which has everything in terms of shopping that one could wish for, and as it's about a 2 minute walk from the hotel I would most definitely stay at this Travelodge in Wellingborough Rushden A45 Eastbound again.

The staff were absolutely lovely, and it is walking distance to lots of nice restaurants (behind a car park, along a barrier, and down a track) but that's all I can say from a positive point of view. The room was run down, there was paint on the carpet, which was worn and thin; the bathroom was shabby; there were SO MANY spiders, plus a large beetle on my pillow in the morning. I was bitten in the night. It was hot and there is no aircon. The location of the hotel itself is behind a deserted, derelict diner, across from a petrol station; so it is not very nice surroundings either.

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst working in the area. The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and polite. There is ample parking around the hotel especially if you have a van. I would be more than happy to stay here again if I was in the area.

The hotel is conveniently located for retail, leisure and going for a morning run around the lakes. The staff are always super friendly and recognise me as a returning guest, which can’t be said for other places I stay at for business. The hotel and rooms are always clean, and I’ve never needed to report a problem, but I know if I did the staff would be there to sort it. I never hesitate to book here when popping up to work locally and would recommend it to anyone.
