The front of house staff were so friendly and very professional - though for an international hotel I would have expected more English - mea culpa though as I don’t speak much Chinese! . The hotel felt sad and unloved. I felt sorry for the dreams the person who built it must have had. I booked a superior suite as it had a bath tub which I was looking forward to. But sadly the water came out brown!!!! The decor was a bit over the top and the room was dominated by a really large tv - and if you sit on the sofa all you see is the back of it. The ceiling had some red streamers and I wasn’t sure if these have been since Spring Break! I could not have breakfast as it was in labelled Chinese dishes and I’m vegetarian though I did get a slice of melon! The coffee machine was switched off in the first day. On the second day it worked but delivered a very sugary milky beverage. This was very disappointing and again was not welcoming to international guests. Walking through a sad room of poor fish in tanks (for eating I presume) was not pleasant. The worse things though were on returning from my duties I came back to the bathroom to find a large clump of. Long black hair by the bathtub which was not there earlier. Also, a very sleazy touch is a machine by the bed sling sex toys snd condoms. Yuck!!! It’s very isolated so bring your own food and snacks. Though a little shop can serve you some things. The bed however was very comfortable and the sheets a really good quality cotton and very comfortable pillows too! I am sure the front of house team would be really happy to help

The price is not expensive in Weihai. The sanitation of the accommodation is much better than that of a similarly priced express hotel. It is worth recommending. The decoration is beautiful and there is no smell.
