Weggis Hotels with Airport pickup service

Heidi in the breakfast serving & Michaela in the front desk made our week lovely! They where always friendly and helped us out with different requests with a smile and kindness that made us feel very welcome. The spa area is great, both indoor and outdoor. The gym has a fantastic view over the lake which made it a pleasant place to work out. We also appreciate the private area next to the sea, owned by the hotel, where you can swim in the clear sea. There are sun beds, parasols and a jetty. The Hotel also lent out SUP-boards, kayaks and bicycles for free. We also appreciated the free shuttle service. The three small things that where preventing me to give the facilities and the hotel 5 out of 5 is; 1) The lack of blackout curtains. The lights shines in, both from the street, and also from the sunrises around 6 in the morning. 2) The lack of bed mattress to soften the bed. The beds are very firm. We slept on our blankets for a whole week. 3) And lastly, the lack of AC. Our room was facing north and we got to borrow a fan, so the temperature was after all okey. But I expect that these three simple requirements would exist in the rooms of a four-star hotel.

The room is very small and there is no air-conditioning. When I stayed in August, it was too hot to sleep at night. I didn’t feel safe sleeping with the balcony door open. I felt cold in the middle of the night, and I felt stuffy when I closed the balcony door. I was tossing all night, although the balcony can see the lake view, but without air-conditioning can not sleep well, the lake view is not worth it

The hotel is some distance from the pier, and on the hillside, I mistakenly follow the navigation to show the luggage for 6 minutes, and I am very tired. The front desk is a good service for the younger brother. It also introduces the surrounding attractions. The lake view room can be seen. It can be seen in the Pilatus Mountain in Rizhao. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but there are cooked eggs. You can only cook yourself before and after your stay.

Very typical continental breakfast, and the breakfast staff is very nice. We are traveling with children, and the hotel has added a crib. The room also welcomes snacks and fruits, and it feels good. The hotel is close to the lake, bicycles are provided for free, and we can also walk around the lake. Although the transportation is inconvenient, the hotel also sent us to the pier for free by boat. The hotel has a swimming pool and the children have a great time. Overall, satisfactory! There is free afternoon tea🤗

Dreadful. We have never walked out of a hotel before but Seehof du Lac changed that. Electric flex with fuse wire to cover a cut, plug sockets with gaps around them, ripped curtains, ripped furniture, black mould in the shower and more. Although outwith the control of the hotel, the town clock strikes every 15 minutes for 24 hours. There is a band room close by and music practice goes on for hours from early to late. As for a private balcony in our ”junior suite”, it was private only in that it is accessible from your room. Ours was cheek by jowl with the large balcony of the smaller neighbouring room and tiny. The table was rusty and not very secure. There was a wasps' nest in the balcony on the floor above, just above head height. We were due to stay for 2 nights but left after 1 without even having breakfast. We had to eat at a local cafe instead. We lost hundreds of Francs as we left Switzerland and booked into a hotel in another country. In short, overpriced, outdated, less than clean. It's telling that the hotel is not mentioned anywhere as a place to eat. Despite us telling a member of staff we were leaving, the hotel had no idea we had gone and emailed saying we were due them money. Quite the reverse really as they had an extra night of tourist tax and the prize of a night of accommodation. This hotel is best avoided. We were looking forward to what was the most expensive stay of our 3 week trip but, in the end, it tainted our holiday. Switzerland will not be getting our customs again thanks to Seehof du Lac.

I loved this hotel! I didn’t go to the spa as we were passing through on our way home from Lake Como in Italy but we will be back! Loved Weggis, what a lovely little place and quiet even though there was a music festival on. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We had a room with a balcony view and it was stunning. The balcony was a good size, the view was priceless. The air conditioning was reasonable and bed very comfy with lovely towels too! Breakfast was very good.

First, the location is beautiful. The hotel is clean and tidy, and the staff very friendly. It's a wonderful place to stay. We used this location as a base to explore the region. It's very quiet and there's not much traffic on the roads at any time (except around Zurich in rush hour). You do need a car here as there's nothing to do in the area. They'll charge you 20 Francs a night for parking. As we stayed for 7 nights they charged a max free of 100 Francs. Not too bad I suppose. The downside is the bedroom. The lighting is dreadful. There's also no air con. They did supply a fan to blow the air around which did help a bit. There's a sensor in the bathroom that detects movement and comes on. The decorative shelving had more light than the rest of the bathroom. Perhaps 3 candles would have been better. The shower has plenty of power and hot water but as it's placed over the bath it hardly keeps the water in. It's a job to stop soaking the floor. The lighting in the main room is dreadful too. We didn't have a lake view which was our choice but we didn't expect to be in full view of other residents either. There was a blind that you could use to add screening and shelter from the sun, but it seemed to have a mind of its own. Sometimes it wouldn't go down, other times it would but then go up again without warning.

Hotel Friedheim, where you go because you like Swiss precision, peace and quiet, ample parking space and cleanness. But you mainly go there for Mount Rigi, with its stunning views and walks and because it costs you the price of a decent mortgage to pay a hotel on the Mount itself. And honestly, the views from Hotel Friedheim on both the lake and the Mount are equally stunning, you even get to park you car AND swim in the Lake, for FREEEEEEE ! So at least we got the feeling Switzerland was expensive but without the need of being oil billionaire or equivalent.

The check-in process is too uncomfortable... In the domestic prepayment, it is used in US dollars (usually other hotels choose Swiss Franc deduction), and is much higher than the real-time RMB dollar exchange price deduction (Ctrip finally solves). At the hotel, it was arranged to stay at another hotel (called central hotel), and the room did not have a balcony, and there was a little lake view at the window. Since I have lived in Australia for a long time, the English is acceptable, and finally I have obtained the hotel and room type I have booked. During the communication with the two front desks, the first front desk lady lost contact after agreeing to change the order to the hotel. The second front desk man appeared after I repeatedly rushed out, and the attitude was bad. Finally, I said ”OK...alright...dont Talk...stop...” gave me the key, I got the hotel room for the order. Real-time proof, my insistence is correct, the picture below is the room balcony view of my order!
