The Yellow House on Plott Creek

When I first saw the beautiful yellow house on top of the hill with its long front porch and rocking chairs, I felt excited. Was it as pretty on the inside as it was on the outside? Yes! When I eagerly opened the side door, I was immediately greeted by the delicious aroma of baking sweets and a charming man named Chad who greeted us as though we were already his favorite guests. I wandered around trying to take everything in - the colorful and tasteful fall décor, the gorgeous and cozy library, the huge bedroom with a wide bank of windows and a fireplace and – the mountain views! This place had everything we could ever want. Chad explained how everything worked and he showed us where the snacks were. There was so much attention to detail. So many added touches. Such personal service. (Chad was always available on the property.) We came in search of a quiet, peaceful retreat and we got it. This is what a traditional bed and breakfast should look like and be like. It was superb in every way.

Welcoming interiors, impeccably decorated to reflect the period of the house. Large wrap around porch looking out over the forested 2acres surrounding the house. Many common areas to hang out in including a library and den with a TV. Beautiful dining room with China cabinet. Rooms are spread out, luxury linens. Our suite had fireplace, sitting area, wet bar, bath with delightful jacuzzi tub. We ordered a charcuterie board and bottle of wine which was waiting in our room. Butlers pantry is stocked for guests with snacks, waters, coffee/tea, sodas. Breakfast was amazing, hot and fresh, beautiful presentation, and delicious. Can’t wait to return when we travel that way.

The Yellow House is an exquisite choice of bed and breakfast in the Waynesville area. The host warmly welcomed us and treated us to delicious cookies. Our room was tastefully appointed and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed our delectable breakfast on the veranda with a beautiful view of the mountains. We highly recommend The Yellow House as a relaxing, enjoyable place to stay in Waynesville.

We traveled to Waynesville for the Ice Fest and the absolute best part of the trip was our stay at The Yellow House! Chad greeted us as soon as we stepped out of our car and graciously took us on a quick tour of the beautiful, historic house before helping us to our room and offering us a glass of wine. The attention to detail, the cleanliness, the hospitality of Chad, the incredible, delicious 3 course breakfast and all of the thoughtful, homey touches in every corner of the beautiful house are what truly make this a HEAVENLY GEM in the middle of the beautiful North Carolina mountains! We left with full bellies after breakfast and are already talking about when we will be able to come back to The Yellow House!

My husband and I had such an amazing getaway at The Yellow House! The accommodations were so comfortable and quiet, and the service was impeccable! Chad treated us like family, and he went out of his way to make our stay special. The Carriage House Suite was beautiful and private, and we look forward to coming back soon!

Our third stay at the Yellow House, just wonderful EVERY time. Dina and Chad are the best. Each time is extraordinary. The food, comfort, ambience and the view is exceptional! This is our special place in the mountains. Thank you all for making it so perfect!
