Wayanad Wild - Rainforest Lodge by CGH Earth

Worst vacation you can expect. 1. They don't have parking and you have to park 4 kms away, they arrange a jeep but you have informe an hour before every time. 2. You need to be back before 5:30pm as they don't have jeeps after that and you cannot drive there. 3. If you are in wayanad and want to enjoy evening view points as you need to be at resort before 5:30 4. Swimming pool is full of moss. 5. Hotel staff is very unsupportive of their lack of transport availability and they don't even recognise that it's an issue. 6. There is no AC and how much ever their staff make you believe you won't need AC it's not true

We cannot express enough how grateful we are for your kindness during our stay. A big shout out to the whole team of Wayanad Wild CGH-Earth for an amazing & comfortable stay. The chefs have surprised me with perfect recipes & no drama of extra spices or butter or oil. He has skillfully made every dish with its right flavour( from malabar biryani, wayanandian thali, chicken cashew curry, north indian dal, paneer masala to continental greek salad, alfredo pasta, soups,etc) The naturalists added an informative yet exciting wonder to the little walks. They were very patient in answering our questions plus its beautiful how they are honouring the wilderness in the times where we live with hu***-animal conflicts. Hope to acconpany again the paths the of the elephants, the steals between malabar squirels & macaque monkeys, the chirping of beautiful birds, the croaking frogs & reptiles. The forest bath puts you into a trans like calm state & yet get entertained by the rhythms of the forest chattering with each other. Thanks for keeping the forest alive for the future generations to value. Thank you to Amaal, Prince( the swimming coach), Umesh, Sherwin(Property ***ager) & David( the GM)for making the time memorable for all three days with every single decisions to pick from food to activities.

Oh Wow. This was a fabulous place to stay. We were part of a small tour group and stayed here for a couple of days. We took part in walks (night and day) and went to talks (David the amazing ***ager there to answer all our questions) and swam in the pool. Sat on the balcony watching the monkeys and met our tour group for lovely meals in the restaurant. Cannot find fault. Could have stayed longer if the tour had allowed.

Fantastic place in middle of a jungle. Great food, friendly staff and knowledgeable naturalist. There are various activities such as trek around the jungle and the campus during day and night is worth it with naturalists explaining the details There are other activities as well with is highly recommended

Wayanad Wilds truly provides one of the best experiences one can have in a forest themed resort. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the temperature pleasant even in peak summer, and the food of excellent quality showcasing ***y of Wayanad’s traditional cuisine. The staff, as will any CGH property are a joy to be with and makes sure that the needs of every visitor to the property is taken care of. 10/10, would visit again.

Rooms on a alope but buggy available. Naturalists such as umesh, aarthi, blessy, Roshan were most helpful and patient with us and kids through out the day. Food is local traditional but large variety and served in candle light set up. Pool available. Ac missing can be an issue in day time. Otherwise perfect escape and a wild experience indeed.

loved the accomodation,food ..especially the view would recommend this for everyone going to wayanad for a serene wild experience. Staff is one of the best i came across. Also was impressed with the local kerala food served as part of dinner.

It took me a day to search online for the perfect place for a holiday in Vythiri. I finally selected CGH Wayanad Wild. This is by far the best experience I have ever had anywhere. It is a top-notch facility offering a super-clean environment and unmatchable hospitality. The place is nestled deep inside the hills, away from the main road and town. It is a very relaxing and uncluttered experience in the middle of the wild. It took me a day to realize that the room doesn't have a TV, because you never feel the need for it. Dining experience is top notch. Staff are extremely professional and organized. There is just nothing to complain about!

It is one of the places where you actually want to take out time and write a review even if when it’s a month late. Whenever we searched for a getaway in Wayanad, this resort was always visible on all the travel apps. However we never thought of booking it as Google showed this to be a 3-star property. And we didn’t want to spend anything lot of money for 3-star listed property. But we were so wrong. For March long weekend we wanted to book something last minute. We called multiple resorts but every place was full or super expensive. Then we called CGH Earth. From that phone conversation onwards I was impressed. They provided us the best last minute discounted deal for a deluxe room. I would recommend everyone to book it directly here. The resort is nestled in a dense forest which is 30 minutes away from the main highway, where our cars were parked. We were hesitant to park it there however the hospitality and the amenities at the parking assured us that it was a good resort. Check in experience was good. We requested for a good view room. Even though almost all the deluxe rooms have very similar view, I found 307 to be the best. Rooms, including bathroom were great. Balcony was picturesque. No tvs - which was actually amazing. Toiletries were eco luxurious. There were lots of complimentary activities for both the adults and the kids, which kept us occupied. These ranged from night walk (super good), morning walk (decent), jungle mountain hike (adventurous). Additionally there was an activity room with the regular carrom, chess, etc. (we weren’t able to use) and a swimming pool (super awesome location). Last but not the least, not really fond of Kerala cuisine as a vegetarian, I was least looking forward to the food. I was so so wrong. It was the best food I ever had in a resort. Never expected Kerala buffet spread to be so good. Adding to the quality of food, the hospitality won our hearts. And not just in restaurants. But everywhere (reception, activities, housekeeping, even regular walks in the resort we were greeted with a smile and ready to help behavior). We stayed for two nights and formed a bond with the staff, who all came to drop us off while we were leaving. It was an amazing experience. We would really love to visit this place again, and also other CGH Earth properties. At times, we really felt it was overall better than Taj. Only missing piece was the Spa.
