Mount Xanadu Resorts

Stayed at Xanadu on a weekend. The resort is located on a hill top with some amazing views of the river. Staying here is absolute tranquility and relaxation. The resort has 9 rooms. The rooms are spacious and have lookout balconies for the views. The entire resort is clean and well maintained. Snooker, foos ball, table tennis, gym are swimming pool are the amenities in the resort. I used the pool in late evening and found the visibility in the water to be very low. The staff at the resort are very courteous and attended to all requests with a smile. A special call out to Mr. Mahesh the manager at the resort who gave a courtesy call couple of days ahead to the trip and shared his number in case we require any info. The restaurant serves authenticated Kerala food a long with a few North Indian and continental dishes. The food tasted good. Being a resort with minimum guests, the food must be ordered 30 minutes ahead. This ensures good and fresh food. Overall, a very relaxing and pleasant stay at Xanadu.

This is our 6th visit to Wayanad and 1st visit to Mount Xanadu. Booking was for 2 nights. We stayed in room 401, which is a round tent with outdoor jacuzzi and a balcony with a view of the valley. The room/tent was spacious and well maintained. The washroom is a bit cramped and hardly any space to keep dental essentials, which is understandable coz its a tent. Our booking was for 3 people, but the dental kit and other basics were provided only for one person...We did not request for more, coz we had carried our own. We had taken the breakfast and dinner plan. The food was delicious. Dinner plan is recommended coz there are no restaurants close by. The resort in a few kms from the town. There were sufficient changes in the food menu on the second day. The restaurant manager (Forgot his name) was very courteous and helpful. The other restaurant staff was also very helpful. All in all a good experience though a tad bit expensive compared to the other resorts we have visited, considering the resort facilities, location etc. One thing that made me give 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is the bad experience with the lady at the reception (The one with the short hair). Firstly she was rude at the time of check-in, unwilling to answer questions readily and it felt like she was doing us a favor by checking us in. On check in we were told that we would be provided some complimentary snacks in a few minutes. (They had forgotten to keep the snacks in the room at the time of check-in) A couple of hours later my son called the reception and asked about the snacks... The lady (The same rude one mentioned above) disconnected the call without even acknowledging the request. The next day i called for an extra towel and was again spoken to rudely with a grunt for an acknowledgement. Same happened again to my son when he called the second day for some information about an activity. Setting aside the bad experience of interactions with this particular person....the resort is good, staff is helpful.

Exceptional experience staying in Mt Xanadu resort in Wayanad. Location and drive to the resort was great. Staff were very kind and overall excellent in all aspects be it front desk, massage, buggy service, food. Did a late night check out conveniently (something I didn’t expect in Wayanad) and Melvin at front desk helped us very much. Also coordinated w me very well. And every other staff helped so much always being kind: Rinju/Rinsi (breakfast, dinner), Arunima helped us w showing the resort, Ebin as the manager supported us so humbly and Hiba did a fantastic job w the massage. Couldn’t meet everyone in the end, but I am very grateful for all of them making our stay very memorable. The food at breakfast and dinner was fantastic - team accommodated everything we asked. The pickles were amazing (please ask for them). The games entertainment areas are plenty. We played snakes and ladders, TT etc and enjoyed a lot. The buggy service was always there for my mom who couldn’t walk long distances and it’s such an amazing thing every driver helped. We took the Kings view room and it is the tallest point in the resort and it was amazing. So many little things to see and do and the viewpoints from everywhere is awesome. Next time again, we wil stay in Mt Xanadu resorts. Thank you!!

What a lovely place to spend a week in. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Our room was large with great views across to the mountains. Plentiful food. Lovely pool. Very relaxing. They even made me a surprise cake for my birthday. Phil & Catherine Ireland

Should be very careful if you are making any advance booking in this Hotel. No matter what emergency happens to you even if it's a death in your family, they will take the booking amount telling process. A Hotel with a management who doesn't have any Humane values. Even road side Bajji walas show more humanity than these people. Greedy Goup of People.

Beautiful place with mesmerizing views and excellent service. We had a great time and would definitely recommend it to everyone. The place is kid friendly with a lot of activities. The swiming pool and a little trekking route in the property make it an excellent place to be active and enjoy peace at the same time.
