While staying locally we booked a table for an evening meal the atmosphere was great lots of walkers and people sat having Meals,it had just opened a few days before and the start were busy but smiling the food came quickly and was very tasty, the new look interior is clean and fresh and the prices are reasonable Give them a chance to settle in and this place will be great

I’m not really one to go out of my way to give a bad review but honestly, given the cost and the Another Place branding we expected so much more. On arrival we were left stood in the busy bar fully laden with bags and clothes for ten minutes whilst the staff figured out how to use the check in system. The room we had (101) looked straight out over the elevated beer garden, so the only way we could get privacy was to drop the roller blind, which defeats the point of having a window in the first place. The room was actually really nice and the bathroom was huge with a lovely deep bath, could just do with another bin by the refreshments table and frosting on the lower glass panes. We attended a wedding in Glenridding and returned to find the inn in darkness and us locked out. After contacting Another Place who advised us to walk down the pitch black road to the hotel, in heels, dark clothing, no pavement and cars flying by (which we obviously refused to do) we eventually got let in freezing cold after around 30 minutes outside. Someone had dropped the latch. On trying to check out in the morning, we found no staff around so just left the key on the bar. A really disappointing and miserable experience and not what I expected from the parent company. I hope they do iron these things out for a much better customer experience

Called in for Dinner hoping i could get a table. It was no problem and I had the best steak and ale pie I've ever had. Excellent service. Couldn't ask for more. Staff were very friendly. The pub is on a hill overlooking ullswater and the view was amazing.

Booked this as a 2 night stay but contacted the hotel 4 weeks before to add another night. This was no issue and payment was due on arrival. We arrived and the bar member knew our names and that we were checking in. Fantastic breakfast. Cooked to order and can pick and choose items if wanted. The food in the evenings was also fantastic. We ate 2 nights and had different items and were not disappointed at all. Bookings not taken for evenings but staff reserved the best table in the bar for us both nights which was a lovely touch. Very happy with the room with a beautiful mountain view for us and our dog. We were looked after from the moment we arrived until we left. We will be back next year after the shut down over the winter. Can't wait to go back.

A lovely cosy friendly place , dog friendly , food fantastic, a wonderful place to wind down and watch the world go by or close enough to visit a ton of places nearby . Views stunning , we have been here a few times and always a great experience.

A great location, good staff, great pub food, and breakfasts. However, the premises are Very tired. The Inn has recently been purchased and under new management. Apparently, the plan is for refurbishment later in the year, and is well over due. Our bed and linen was new and clean, as were the rooms, but carpets and paintwork is borderline shocking due to neglect from previous owners. Summary: cheaper than many in this area, a wonderful location with good food and a good chef. Pity about the neglect of the premises.

We stayed for one night. Perfect location for hikers and dog walkers and it seemed quite popular throughout the day. Staff were friendly. Our room was small but clean. Bathroom was tiny. Main course at dinner was lovely but we never got to experience dessert which was disappointing. Breakfast was also tasty and food was served quickly. I'd prefer an earlier check in than 4pm and a later checkout than 10am

Really enjoyable two night stay. Very impressed with our room, very clean and fresh. Amazing comfy beds and bedding. Food for breakfast and dinner was fantastic. The best thing was the view from our room looking over Ullswater Lake - stunning. Be aware that the Inn is also a pub and we could hear music until around 10.30pm. We also found that the water pressure from the shower was low but all in all, a wonderful place that we would 100% stay at again.
