We visited family in the area and chose Woodlands Guest house based on previous reviews and we were not disappointed. The rooms were spacious and pleasantly decorated with good facilities to make our stay very comfortable. From there we visited Liverpool city centre by train after getting advice from Bernie who is the owner of the guest house and nothing was too much trouble. We also visited Southport by train so no need to use the car. So overall I would definitely recommend this guesthouse as a good base while visiting the northwest.

This was a Spur of the moment trip, we found The Woodland Guest House on Google and so pleased this is the one we chose out of the 4 we looked at. We had a warm welcome from Eileen who runs the Guest House with her husband Rob. It is very clean, tidy and comfortable, the breakfast amazing compared to other Guest houses or B & B's we have stayed in. It is only a small Guest House of 4 rooms, 2 x Double Rooms, 1 family room (1 double bed & 1 single bed) and 1 twin room. It is peaceful and tranquil surrounded by "Woodland'

Good place to stay and very easy to travel into the city. Rooms are very large and very clean. Breakfast was good with plenty available to suit everyone. The lady who owned it was very helpful and did everything herself and to a very high standard. There are steep steps leading up to the front door and a rail would be most helpful
