Kobe Suite Resort

Loooove this hotel so much! The staff is warm and gracious and the property and beach is gorgeous! Loved walking out to the sand bars when the tide was low and n snorkeling off the coast in the marine park. The food is fantastic and service is plentiful by all. A great pool experience with 2 options. We highly recommend the Kobe Resort in Watamu. A special thank you to all the waiter staff, bartenders, and cooks and Janet and Bernice in the front office! They all worked hard to ensure our total satisfaction! Our stay was amazing.

Urgent: changes needed A wonderful hotel that needs make important changes to keep its reputation and 4* rating. We have stayed at this hotel for many years and enjoyed its fabulous position, great ambience, excellent restaurant and delightful staff. However, there have been recent changes under new management that need addressing Over the busy holiday period non-residents were allowed to pour in from the beach having reserved pool side beds for the day. 20 or more beds crammed together around the main pool available for a few dollars in preference to hotel residents who can only find beds around the family pool where small numbers of beds are available. If this is allowed to continue Kobe will become an overstretched beach club rather than a 4* hotel . The second change results from new restaurant management. The food this year did not live up to its reputation as one of the best restaurants on the beach. Missing items from the menu, frequent overcooked food, a much inferior wine list- only a single white available by the glass- and if you don’t like South African chardonnay you have a problem. Where were all the splendid Italian wines previously available. Lastly, no interaction of the restaurant manager with the guests, which was previously a major feature, and little supervision of the restaurant staff. This was until recently a superb hotel as confirmed by the many positive views reported on Trip Advisor. However, times have changed and the these new issues need to be resolved if the hotel is to retain its 4* status.

The most fantastic place to unwind after a work week. Right on the beach, with crystal clear pools (x 2), friendly staff and excellent food, this is highly recommended. The massages are also fantastic and are offered on the top floor with a cool ocean breeze to lull you to sleep. Everything is designed to help you to relax. The beach is excellent for swimming

We Recently stayed at the Kobe Suites for four night and wow what an amazing stay.  From arrival to departure, we were always greated with smiles. Beatrice the General Manager runs an amazing tight ship. Her team are all so polite, professional and super helpful. I'd like to say a massive thank you to Pauline, Moses, Safari, Simon, Patrick (these are the names I can remember) and ALL the other staff members including pool boys and housekeeping for there amazing hospitality. There are two pools, both lovely and there is no need to throw your towel out at 8am…. There is plenty of space for everyone. We quite liked the rear pool which was virtually empty everyday, howvere our favourite spot was the beds overlooking the beach. Now the food, oh my god, everything on the menu that we ate was amazing, and some of the best curries and pasta dishes we have ever eaten, credit to the chef!  Breakfast is such a simple affair. So chilled with a huge range of products on offer. The chefs are always on hand to make you whatever you want!  Lunch is served close to the beach. Again a very simple affair where shoes are not required…..tables are placed on sand!  Dinner would be in the same place but was moved more in land due to the winds, but again, such a beautiful setting, amazing service and food!  Overall, such a beautiful small boutique hotel that provides exceptional service and a hotel we will return to…. Thank you Beatrice and Kobe!!! 

Me and my mum weren’t guests, but we regularly went to enjoy the day as Kobe is a beautiful hotel located on the best beach of Watamu. You can rent sunbeds for just 1000 scellyngs and also have full breakfast or lunch there! The food is delicious, the staff kind and attentive. Special thanks to the Italian manager, she is very professional and knows how to receive guests. They also have a very nice shop where you can but trendy bags and sandals for very reasonable price.

Their Food is the best in Watamu! We did not stay there but we have tried many Restaurants in Watamu and this one is by far the best! Great relaxed location on the beach. They have Great service, Great dessert too. We Will definitely be back soon.
