Last time we visited this hotel it was a clear 5 so we booked again inviting our son and daughter in law. Well, they had the most fantastic X-mas setup at the beach, really cosy but with that, nothing else was okay. The window in the room was wide open so inroom temperature was like 6-7 degrees and we never managed to get enough heat in the room so we had to cover op with quilts and blankets making the stay in the room terrible. In the restaurant we had to ask why we did not get the sparkling wine that was included where after we had soup and when we were just about finished eating the bread came. Main course vegetables were totally destroyed because the had been boiled for hours or something like that Breakfast was took ages to fill up when something was missing and when checking out we were charged for someone else's consumption in the restaurant. Don't know what has happened here since our last visit. The hotel has a fantastic location, rooms are okay but when the staff does not perform it ruins the experience, sad to say. Still, we might come back another time in the hope that this was a one time mishap.

Subterranean! We really don't recommend staying at this "trial" four-star hotel. We stayed there for five days and didn't really enjoy any of it. When you check in, you are told that if you want daily room service, please let them know. Otherwise, there is no room service. The service staff are very unfriendly and they just try to get money out of the hotel guests. It's better to transfer the amount requested directly and stay at home. NEVER AGAIN!

Restaurant OK, rather expensive. Disgraceful to charge €3 for changing side dishes (fries instead of potato salad). Policy: to take more money out of the guest's pocket without providing any extra service. You lose repeat guests because of €3.

We wanted to give the restaurant a second chance because we weren't really happy with the food there a while ago. Today, the family of five ate there and it was really delicious and the young waitress was really great. We'd love to come back again.

Location brilliant! Food bad and expensive! Small selection of wines and dishes. Lobster soup dark brown like gravy - slightly bitter. Plaice small and the taste was smothered by the mountain of spring onions. North Sea crabs few and meager. We had not expected something like this from a Michelin-starred chef. No bar - no minibar! One bottle of water for the room. No fresh breakfast rolls. Unfortunately, TV recordings in the room above us. Hordes of people outside the door and constant banging of heavy machinery above us until 11:30 p.m. The hotel neither informed us of the recordings nor ensured quiet or gave us another room. The TV was more important! We were charged in full for the restless night. There was no letter of apology afterwards either. We have been guests at the Hotel Wassersleben several times for over 35 years. The hotel has deteriorated significantly in every respect.

We ate plaice there in May and were totally disappointed. It looked like it had come out of the microwave and it tasted like that too, unfortunately! Frying plaice can't really be that difficult. At the moment I wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

We celebrated a family celebration there for the third time and it just kept getting worse. After the first few times we were more than disappointed or appalled by the staff and the conditions (cake buffet in the hallway, pieces of cake were cleared away before they were eaten, so there was no chance of a second piece), it was no better this time. The hotel management had changed, so we gave the beautiful house with the beautiful view another chance. We had food a la carte. Prices were so overpriced (e.g. two small schnitzels for €24 plus chips for €4), portions were more than manageable. A menu that hardly allowed for a choice, staff who themselves did not know what was on offer: there was asparagus with melted butter for €24, asparagus with smoked ham for €27 and with sea bass for €29. Homemade hollandaise sauce was another €4. The asparagus dishes were on the menu field of the menu, the waiter told us. When I ironically asked whether the menu consisted of the first course of asparagus, the second course with ham and the third course with sea bass, she said yes - I could hardly believe my ears. Then she backtracked, saying she hadn't been there recently and hadn't been introduced to the menu. I got six asparagus spears, ranging from really cold to a little warm (heated in the microwave?). Potatoes were missing. When I asked, the waitress said she would have to ask if they added any. They eventually arrived. I also had to reorder the hollandaise sauce that I had ordered, as it wasn't on the menu. The other guests also complained that the food was lukewarm. The prawns on the plaice were like rubber. It was another disaster. 10 guests, totally disappointed, but 400 euros spent on everything. Now we're finally smarter. NEVER AGAIN!!!! One star for the beautiful view. Who gave out stars???

We received a warm welcome and the first impression was really beautiful. The location directly on the fjord with a view over the water is unique, even in January. The room less so. You can hardly turn around in the shower, the toilet at child seat height is not acceptable. Since there were hardly any other guests because of Corona, the breakfast buffet was also a bit "sparse". They tried hard and were always friendly and warm...but that's not really enough for a 4-star hotel. They should spend money here and renovate the rooms, whether it's beds, wardrobes or bathrooms. It's all in need. We were only guests for 2 nights, so we can live with that, but I wouldn't have accepted more. We were there for my 60th birthday. For a small cake and 2 glasses of sparkling wine, another 50 euros were due, which was a sad end, and even the lovely handwritten birthday card couldn't save it. It's a shame again: The staff is friendly and helpful - but that's not nearly enough for the price we paid for 2 nights.

Der große Vorteil, den das Hotel hat, ist die tolle Lage direkt an der Förde mit traumhaftem Blick aus dem Zimmer über die Förde. Das Zimmer war grundsätzlich schön, wobei insbesondere an den Fenstern auch der Zahn der Zeit zu erkennen war. Eine ebenerdige Regenschauerdusche ist toll, aber nur, wenn der Abfluss so dimensioniert ist, dass das Wasser auch abfließen kann und man nicht das Duschen abbrechen muss, weil man feststellt, dass man gerade das ganze Badezimmer flutet. Absoluter Minuspunkt des Hotels ist aber das Frühstück, welches einem 4-Sterne-Hotel und einem Zimmerpreis von mehr als 200€ absolut unwürdig ist. Da bekommt man in niedriger klassifizierten Hotels zum halben Preis ein besseres Frühstück. Zum einen war die Auswahl sehr beschränkt, es gab z.B. keine Marmeladen, angeblich ein Dispositionsfehler, was bedingt glaubwürdig klingt, ist Marmelade doch eigentlich recht haltbar und lagerfähig. Zum anderen ließ auch das Auffüllen stark zu wünschen übrig, wir waren zum Glück recht früh dran, wer um 09:30 zum Frühstück kommt muss mit einem leeren Buffet und noch weniger Auswahl rechnen. Dazu kam dann noch bis zur Unkenntlichkeit verbrannter Speck zum Rührei. Unter dem Strich zahlt man hier vor allem die Lage, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt in Anbetracht des gebotenen Gegenwertes leider nicht, schade
