The Churchill Hotel Near Embassy Row

Hotel was nice and clean. Did not eat at the hotel but there was lots of food places near by. Also not too far from attractions which you can walk to.

Stayed four nights for a conference across the street at the Hilton. I have stayed here once before and had a good stay. It seems to have gone downhill, as the service was terrible no matter who I spoke to at the front desk. Housekeeping never came my entire stay despite: 1) being told housekeeping is every 2 days (according to one person ) or 3 days (according to a different person); 2) requesting trash pickup, extra hangars, two clean towels on Day 2 and being told it would happen while I was gone for the day; 3) requesting it again on the next day since it didn't happen previously. Again, I returned to my room at the end of the day and it had not happened. Explained this to the front desk upon checkout on Day 4 and they were "shocked." No attempt to rectify/compensate though. Another problem was I missed a delivery one evening because the phone was not working in my room. They never fixed it. I was dealing with a different person each time and not a single one was able to address any of the above issues. Last time I am staying here.

Lovely hotel. Clean, spacious rooms. close to several restaurants and bars, yet very quiet.

Horrible service attitudes from the front desk, especially a guy name Jonathan. I asked for a 30 minutes late check out, he replied coldly “No, I will charge you if you check out over 12”, instead of saying something like “sorry we can’t…” or “I am afraid we can’t…” Basically all the responses from the front desk are cold and rude during the entire stay.
