Lovely pub good service and everyone welcome. Nice to see a local pub doing well always seams to be busy with families on a afternoon early evening and on a Friday and Saturday evening. Good selection of drinks and pub food available most days. Well recommend 👌

We went to the Victoria Inn for a meal for the first time today. Excellent food. Very friendly and professional service. Dog friendly and very welcoming. Would highly recommend. The prices were reasonable too. They have a wide range of menu.

I will agree that if you are expecting the Ritz, as many reviews have said, I would certainly agree with their comments that this is one of the most friendliest, good value and cleanest places we have stayed in. A lot of effort and expense has been put in by the owner Lee; to make it a very welcoming establishent. On our arrival we were warmly greeted by him, and he couldn't be more kinder or attentive to our needs, as were his staff. The locals at our evening meal, were very friendly too. It was a lovely environment. The menu was varied, and cooked well. The breakfast was faultless. The room was clean, comfy bed and had all we needed for a restful night. We loved it, and so much better than some or the more expensive places we had stayed, some of which were more impersonal and thought they were better than what they actually. Would we come back? A definite "yes" well done to all at the Victoria Inn, it ticked all the boxes for us.

Dropped in for lunch, just passing, felt hungry. So glad we did, relaxed atmosphere, nice surroundings, very friendly staff, good quality food, very well prepared. Had a steak, which was as good as any I’ve had. It was Friday lunchtime, the bar was buzzing with customers, but we couldn’t hear them from the restaurant. Will certainly be back when we are in the area.

We had a lovely 3-night stay at The Victoria Inn. The staff were amazing and the food was first class. It was no trouble at all for the manager Lee to print off some paperwork for us without any charge. He was just so helpful, chatty and caring all-round. We left early on the final morning and missed breakfast so instead, he gave us a free drink at the bar on the last evening. Breakfast was excellent and if they still have the Katsu curry on the menu when you visit have it before it all goes... it’s so nice… we had a family meal there and everyone cleaned their plates.

Booked a table for my husband and myself for Sunday Lunch.The food arrived which was a small pork dinner for myself,a large dinner for my husband.I could tell straight away my husband wasn't enjoying it the pork he had was either tough or fatty.So he left it,the desert menu consists of 2 choices cheesecake or sticky toffee pudding which got warmed in a microwave.Our only drinks we had was red wine for myself,and a coke for my husband.When we asked for the bill and checked it,I noticed we had been charged for 3 different types of wine.Which was £12 extra.We did get the money back,but always check your bill. Doubt I will return for a Sunday Lunch.

Had Sunday lunch here and have to say service was excellent staff very polite. And food was absolutely delicious . Highly recommend. Food was piping hot had choice of 4 meats or you could have a mix. The only complaint I would have would be I was to full to have a pudding

Me and my partner just had Sunday lunch in Vic , I’d say it’s the best in Washington, was a busy day as it was Father’s Day , but still got our lunch served quick and everything was delicious, large portions and the beef was lovely. £11.95 each . It’s our go to place now on a Sunday.. Thankyou Victoria.

Second night here. Lovely breakfast has new hosts since we came 3 years ago. Due to covid we havent travelled much. New hosts are a lovely couple. Very friendly staff breakfast is good. Plus it is dog friendly too. All areas have been or are in the process of refurnishing. Good price too. We will stay again if we are up this way.
