Used 24 hour check in to get a room at 03.30am. Paid $158 for a cabin that was so filthy I couldn't use the toilet and had to pee outside. The entire cabin was filthy with dirty towels and bed linen in every room as if a work crew had been there for a week. The bin in the kitchen was over flowing with rubbish and there was rotten food on the bench, in the fridge and in the bin. I was travelling home from hospital in melb and was too tired and unwell to complete the last 150 km of my drive. I brought a blanket in from the car to lay on the couch so I could sleep on top of it as the couch was also dirty and went to sleep, only to be woken by a text message 50 min after check in (approx 4.30am) to say tell management if I have a pet so they can put me in a pet friendly room. Then at 4.50am the trucks in adjacent cabins started to vacate the tiny carpark. This required a person outside to scream directions to the truck drivers reversing out, such as hard right, go straight etc because the truck reversing lights were so loud the guys were yelling at the top of their lungs. After 35 Min of this the carpark was clear and the sun was coming up. The deafing roar of hundreds of trucks screaming by only meters from the motel on the western freeway was the final straw. After 2.5 hours of absolute crap i had about 20 Min sleep, no shower, no toilet and no cup of coffee, it dawned on me I would have been home an hour ago had I kept going so I decided to head home crying my eyes out. I could have contacted the night manager at 4am to move rooms but the machine had told me there was only 1 room in the entire motel available the expensive cabin so I didn't bother ringing her as another night when i woke her at 3am I had to ring 6 times to wake her and i felt terrible about it. I did notify the motel before leaving about the room and requested a refund. Despite emailing them, texting them and leaving a written note under the office door they still withdrew $158 from my bank 4 days later on 1st of March. I have rang the motel 9 times and been told Tony the Manager is not there he will call me tomorrow. He has never called me once. The only time he spoke to me was the day he answered the phone himself when he lied to me and said the money had been refunded. When I called the next day to say it had not the lady on the phone admitted that he had not reimbursed me. I have been asked to email my details 5 times which i have and still nothing. Then today 22 April almost 2 months since the nightmare stay I called and asked to speak to Tony he of course was not available so on my way home from Peter Mac tonight I called in and asked if I could have a room for the night as it was obvious I would never see my money. The girl on duty rang Tony who said I was not entitled to any refund or free room as I should have rang the night manager. On the 5 occasions i had a room there prior to 27 Feb I had only ever used the bed once. The other times i

We loved this Motel. When travelling with pets we are grateful for any accommodations that allow pets, but this Motel was also spotless, the staff were really helpful, and the accommodation included some extra thoughtful touches to make the stay most comfortable.

Definitely budget accommodation. The motel does allow pets in some rooms, though i was supposed to be in a pet free room, yet the room had a smell to it. I went and got air freshener from the supermarket. I also had to buy an extension lead for my cpap machine as there were no power points anywhere near the bed. Even though there were bedside lamps not plugged in, but nowhere to plug into. Bed was comfy enough but pillows were flat and bed covers were terrible. Felt like i had things crawling on me at night. There was a gap under the door that i had to put a towel at to avoid bugs coming in or a draft. Shower had good pressure but bathroom floor was very slippery. Stayed 2 nights and room was not serviced during stay. TV was basic, no Netflix possible (not smart TV)

If you are after a nice quiet comfy night away with good hygiene then stay away from this place. Not only did we freeze all night because the split system made a screaming noise when you turned it on we got eaten by mosquitoes that’s after killing the spiders on the walls left behind. Tape over holes in the ceiling. One adult had to sleep on the couch because the legs on the single beds were about to fall off. There was a huge spider which had been killed and left in the window in the kitchen, looks like it had been there for a hundred years. Not to mention the cars coming in and out all night early morning and people taking right outside your window at 3.30 in the morning. So you would be better sleeping in your car.

Overall quite good. The room had everything you needed and the beds were quite comfortable. We didn't actually meet the staff - but they sent plenty of emails to keep us informed! It's on the outskirts of Ballarat, so a bit further to go for restaurants, etc.

Clean. Spacious room for small family of 3 with a good layout. Enjoyed the peaceful property as other guests were peaceful as per the guest rules. Comfortable beds. Good pressure in shower. Good heating. Liked the powerboard. Good sized rectangular dining table for 3-4 people. Liked the free wi-fi. Convenient access to hightway. Not too noisy from the highway. Less than 10 minutes drive from Ballarat town centre. 24 hour check in. Keyless, pin code room entry. Helpful friendly service. Accessible rubbish and recycling bins on property. Good price for family on a budget. Recommend to others. We would stay again.

Our stay at Woodman's Hill was fantastic! The rooms were big with all the amenities we needed. The best part of the stay was the managers beaming smile and excitment about hearing of her guests adventures!!! Thank you!

Stopped for the night with two small dogs whilst moving interstate. Booking was easy. Check in via a PIN code on the door so contactless. Easy. The room was comfortable and clean (but a bit dated). Accommodated two small dogs and two adults. Plenty of parking and quiet. Would stay again if ever needed.
