I booked this place because it's close to the clients I want to visit. The decoration always feels a bit strange. I can't tell what's strange about it.

We stayed here while my husband is working in the area. The hotel lobby, hallways and room are clean and comfortable. The front desk staff are friendly. We only had one problem while we were here and that was on the last night of our stay. Another room was loud with multiple guests and my husband went down around 11:00 pm to ask the desk clerk to check it out because he had to work the next morning. He either didn’t check or the guest didn’t listen because it continued all through the night. I videoed the noise and went down to the desk myself at 4:00 am and told the desk clerk they were now playing loud music. He said he would take care of it immediately and he either did as asked or from exhaustion I finally fell asleep. We checked out at 11 am the next morning and my husband talked to the manager on duty and asked if there was anything she could do about a discount for the nights stay and she said no. We were there for a week and my husband will be back in the area from time to time and has always stayed here because of the location to where he is working. They really should take care of repeat guests better. But overall good stay. Hotel is in front of the police department and there is a restaurant in the parking lot that’s not too bad and is open until 10 pm serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and is affordable. 

Spent 2 nights at the Holiday Inn Express. The room was clean when we arrived. The wifi is reliable. The pool was small but clean, and easily enough fun for our 6yr old. Many other kids enjoyed it with her. We were visiting family, so did not spend a great amount of time at the hotel. There is not a complimentary breakfast offering but they do have a restaurant. The restuarant was closed down on our visit, as was the bar, due to some kitchen equipment issue. They did have a buffet breakfast set up the 2nd morning but at around $10/person, it wasn't even close to being a good value. There's a National Coney Island a 2-3min walk away and they have a nice breakfast menu. Biggest disappointment was that there was no maid service provided. Not a big deal but it'd have been nice to have the garbage emptied and the coffee replenished. I'm not sure how their system broke down on them. It's rare for a hotel of any level to blow that, let alone one that presents itself as a business level hotel. The staff we interacted with were pleasant. Nice facility but really not a good one for families. Fine for people on business accounts.

I had a good time with my family. The service was great.
