Safari Plains

This was a real 5 Star stay! The whole experience was awesome! The Tents are very comfortable, so was the bed. The bathroom was well designed and equipped. The Lodge main area was beautiful and very cozy. The food was delightful, and the meals were generous and served to perfection. As for the staff, we can only say that we got the best service ever!! Well done to all and thank you for the wonderful stay. I highly recommend this Lodge!

We recently had the pleasure of a stay at Safari Plains lodge that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and well taken care of. They were not only attentive and friendly but also exceptionally professional and personable, ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect. One standout moment was when we unfortunately lost our luggage upon arrival. The staff immediately stepped in to assist, offering helpful advice and ensuring our needs were met until our belongings were safely returned. This level of care made us feel reassured and supported throughout our stay. Safety was a top priority, and we appreciated the extra precautions the resort took, which allowed us to relax and enjoy our surroundings without worry. The dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Every meal and drink went above and beyond our expectations, both in taste and presentation. Each dish and dessert was beautifully crafted, and even the smallest details were meticulously attended to. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or the evening receptions, the presentation was simply stunning. Our guide, Mpho, truly made our wildlife experiences unforgettable. His passion and knowledge were palpable, and he eagerly shared insights about the animals and their habitats. Mpho's setup of morning coffees and "sundowners" was breathtakingly beautiful, adding an extra layer of magic to our safari experiences. His ability to find clues to the animals' whereabouts, from tracks to scents, was impressive and greatly enriched our safari adventures. The accommodations were spacious, well-maintained, and incredibly inviting. From the moment we stepped into our room, we were greeted with a sense of comfort and luxury that set the tone for our entire stay. The rooms were impeccably clean, with attention paid to every detail to ensure a relaxing environment. The views from our porch were breathtaking, especially during the mesmerizing sunrises that painted the sky with vibrant hues. It was a true privilege to witness giraffes roaming nearby, adding a touch of wildlife wonder to our mornings and evenings. One delightful surprise each evening was returning to our room to find new and creative animals made from towels, showcasing the lodge's playful attention to detail and commitment to guest delight. It was a charming touch that added to the overall charm and warmth of the lodge. The combination of comfortable accommodations, stunning natural surroundings, and thoughtful touches made our stay at Safari Plains lodge truly memorable. We spent four nights at Safari Plains and had the best time ever. The luxury tent was just that, with all mod cons including a/c and a great shower. Our family trip was parents and two children (22 and 20 but they were keen to come with us, and were as excited for this as any holiday we have done before). Food was out of this world from breakfast to evening meal, plenty of choice but we devoured our fair share of steak!! Of course the highlight was the game drives and a big shout out to Russell who looked after us on our eight drives, making sure we saw what we had come to see, and his personality made each drive a fun few hrs despite the early rises. All the staff at Safari Plains excelled, but a special mention to Paul and Maria and all the bar staff. I would thoroughly recommend!

Safari Plains went above and beyond my expectations. It was an amazing experience. Everything was extremely well run, the staff were excellent and went out their way to make sure our stay was exceptional. The Rangers who took on the game drives were extremely knowledgeable and did everything they could for us to see the big five, the elusive leopard was the only one we did not see.

A once in a lifetime holiday. Safari Plains was incredible - great accommodation, food, staff and service. The game drives were brilliant and the guides were so knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Safari Plains.

The best safari experience. The guide Sunesh ( sunny) went above and beyond to make the experience the most memorable, his knowledge of nature, birdlife and wildlife was amazing . His happy personality shone through to truly give everyone the most enjoyable and amazing experience. An absolute credit to the team. The food was exceptional The staff amazingly helpful and happy Everything was clean and fresh The whole ambience was exquisite A place to definitely revisit 👍

This was the first reserve we stayed at out of 4 during our 2 week trip, and boy did they set the bar high. The accommodation was stunning, the staff were amazing and so accommodating. The food was so good and of high quality. The game drives were great, Tups our guide was funny and knowledgeable. This was my favourite place of all 4 for the drives. They are respectful of the animals and don't overcrowd them with vehicles taking it in turns, but you still get up close. This place is a little gem and I would happily return and recommended to others. Have to give the giraffes a mention who seem to like to people watch when you are in the camp, they are funny. Definitely a 5 star camp and 5 star food and service.

Can’t recommend Safari Plains enough. Was our second stay and we can’t fault it. All lodge employees go out of their way to ensure that guests are having a wonderful time. We had our 9 month old daughter with us and we were accommodated with our own vehicle for game drives, as well as special game drives for baby at 10am. Hotel managers, game rangers, reception staff, waiters and housekeeping were all great. The team create a small boutique lodge 5 star experience, while going the extra mile to accommodate families with children and babies - a great combination.
