Bertram's

The room was very pleasant but in the roof and was extremely hot, even with all windows open and a fan. The breakfast was excellent. Check-in time is restricted on Mondays and Tuesdays when the restaurant is closed and it was difficult to contact the hotel to make an arrangement outside these times, I had to call many times before anyone answered.

How a hotel should be. Perfection. All the five star reviews are accurate. Dismiss the few snarky reviews, they are silly. Great staff, great room. Could not be more pleased. Comfortable bed, pleasing decor, bathroom is huge. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast is delicious and huge. Wonderful village

The accommodation was fine, a bit tired.

We stopped here for one night on route to Scotland and so glad we chose Bertrams. We had a great room on the second floor which was on the whole very comfortable. We had dinner in the bistro and it was a gastronomic delight. Everything was presented beautifully and was of top quality. And most importantly tasted divine. Breakfast for equally high quality and once again presented perfectly. Well done to all the Bertram’s team. Everything was excellent and served up with a smile. My only small negative was that the room was very warm and stuffy which resulted in a slightly restless night. But to be honest it’s summer time and I can live with it for the one night. All the positives outweigh this slight negative. All served

Really comfortable hotel . Friendly staff ,warm and cosy room very nicely furnished, and a really comfortable bed. Superb choice of breakfast and highly recommend the full English. Excellent location with easy access to beautiful scenery / coastline etc. Warkworth castle dominates the village and is well worth a visit ,aa are the cosy hostelries in the village. Would definitely stay here again.

Dog friendly cafe in the middle of Warkworth . Last minute stop off and boy we were so glad we did. A bustling little cafe with a gorgeous outdoor courtyard through the back where we sat today as the weather was good. We had a prawn cocktail sandwich, with a side of salad and we shared a portion of skinny fries. All fresh, clean tastes and very good portions. Followed by a Cappuccino and fruit scones. Delicious! Staff friendly, great place to visit. We walked out and said Wow!
